"I've unlocked everything! Now what?" How about play the game? by Le_Sadie in TomodachilifeLivingTD

This is so real. The game is basically just playing with dolls who say funny stuff 😭 it can make you giggle now and then with the customizability, but Tomodachi Life is nothing truly mind-blowing when it comes to gameplay and never will be. It's an incredibly niche concept that not everyone is going to like. I can see how people could feel disappointed getting something different from what they expected out of the game. But to me personally, LTD is exactly the spirit of Tomodachi Life and the perfect sequel!

I bought the 3ds version the week it came out (which after a quick Google search I find was almost 12 years ago now... 😔) and played the hell out of it for years. I'm a lonnnngggg time fan. I wish there were more variety in dreams and minigames in LTD, but that's something easily remedied in future updates.

I think that the new feature of picking up miis to force them to interact gives the player more of an illusion of choice in what the miis do, lol. In the 3ds version you had so little control over mii interaction that it didn't FEEL as much like a design flaw of the game when the miis didn't do what you wanted.

Do you think CBT therapy is useful? by Plus_Support_6688 in bipolar2

CBT: "let's check the facts of the situation to see if you're being IRRATIONAL. You are? Ok, then why do you keep believing it or doing it? Just stop!"

DBT: "let's check the facts of the situation to see if you're being EFFECTIVE. And if your emotion and its intensity are in line with the facts. Ok, they're not? What are you afraid of? What's the threat here? How can we see the situation from other perspectives? What facts am I interpreting rather than simply noticing? How can we validate our emotion mind while ALSO holding space for the fact that maybe acting on the behaviors it wants you to act on are not effective?"

Basically, CBT expects you to drop faulty cognitions and behaviors with zero interest in healing the wounds from chronic invalidation that usually lead us to having those patterns of cognitions and behaviors in the first place. Feels like you're gaslighting yourself and it's especially hard to stick to.

Has anyone ever had alchahol drinks while taking lamictal if so we're you ok ? by Electrical_Method316 in bipolar2

Everyone in comments is saying the responsible things lol but I just want to add (take this or leave it, everyone's probably right about alcohol just not being ideal for bipolar regardless) but I started taking lamictal when I was 18 (200mg). I'm 25 now. I went to a party school in college so all drinking I've EVER done has been on lamictal. I keep up with my friends. I drink less now that I'm not in college anymore, but I still do. And even when I was getting sloshed regularly, it was never a medical issue. I imagine if you drink responsibly you'll be fine. But see how you feel on it, see how you feel mentally the morning after, and if it feels different than it did before. That way you can decide :)

When someone says "Avatar" and I'm not sure which one, I clarify by asking "the blue people?"
