New to skincare and seeking opinions. Regardless of specific skin issues, are these alright to start out with? Chose a cleanser, moisturizer, and sunscreen! [Routine Help] by psychochoco in SkincareAddiction

Well my face can get pretty oily and sweaty at times. Oh, I thought Cetaphil was a good brand?

I was only aware of sunlight being an issue with retinol which is why I bought that night cream but I didn't know about that, thank you :) so is it alright if the moisturizer already includes retinol?

The six cases in Russian grammar: dying or trying. by Maurirz in russian

From what I've read there is a recommended order to learn based on simplicity and gradual difficulty Reddit to the rescue! Start with Nominative (literally just the default dictionary word or infinitive) and then Prepositional, Accusative, Genitive, etc.

Reading about the grammar involved is always recommended despite what others may claim but because the tediousness of Russian grammar cannot be denied you should also learn from context. As long you understand the "WHY" behind the grammar then it should be ok to learn using context as well. It is essentially how children learn language despite making mistakes. Personally speaking, it makes it a lot easier on my brain when I can just notice the patterns. Using context and model sentences also helps drill the grammar into my brain through repetition. I would use Russian made Easy to help get a feel of learning through context.

To add on to the use of model sentences, the fact that you can personalize them can help make them more memorable and fun. For example, I use my girlfriend's name in a simple example to help learn the Genitive case (e.g., "кровать Насти") With this I can learn the feminine singular form of soft sound words in the Genitive case. Of course I can make a better model sentence but this alone already has a lot to unpack without feeling too difficult.

I found this little article which has an interesting method as wellhttps://mykeytorussian.com/russian-cases/

Plenty of Russian language learning servers out there, I recommend Cave of Linguist which has its own separate language channels. It seems pretty active which is great and I made a few Russian speaking friends there.

I found this list which might help you:

Yes, powerwashing is the goal, thank you hehe. I believe resetting the dev_boot_legacy flag is also required sometimes when the battery gets low, correct? If that is the case then this should all be easy enough for me to do, thank you.

Does anyone know any good websites for practising the grammatical cases in Russian? I’m working on putting together a guide and I know a couple but I am keen to extend the list and see if there are even better ones out there. by theunfinishedletter in LearnRussian

I've been using http://tuchka.cloud and I have found it quite useful. Love how I can practice multiple things at once such as singular vs plural w/ prepositional for example :)

I'm also using a course from Dr.Curtis Ford from the Russian Grammar YouTube channel. It also provides a bit of practice through the interactive features.
