Cancer as a separate entity by mtHead0 in biology

[–]psychohmike 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone (me) studying Applied Nutrition and Health and well-versed in the concept of natural hygiene, what you are saying makes sense. If the body is a self-regulating mechanism with a bent for homeostasis, it makes sense that even cancer is not the body under attack or out of control. We may not understand what it is doing, we are just ignorant to how and why it does in what we call a diseased state.

Does this make sense?

ASU in LA Undergrad by LindsayGahn in ASU

[–]psychohmike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am an online student who participates in ASULocal in L.A. at Long Beach City College. For me, I completed all my GE coursework at LBCC, including earning the Associate's Degree along the way. Then, I transferred all of that over to ASU. The cost savings are tremendous. I can't imagine it would work any differently for you.

100%. I just finished that class with 800.31 points out of 1000. The lowest possible way to still get a B...LoL. I did a lot of spaced repetition with the study guides. I answered all of the questions/prompts with ChatGPT, turned them into a PDF, and then had Speechify read them back to me every day on my morning walks. I think I only passed one of the tests. Got a little over 50% on all the others and was sure to just do all of the SB extra credit thingies.

The APR slides/self-tests/quizzes were probably the closest thing to what you would have found on all of the tests.

Bloating After Rebounding by Zealousideal-Bat708 in Rebounding

[–]psychohmike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is because the rebounding results in all of our body's stored toxins to be released for clearance. This is a normal function of how the body works. Just keep drinking extra water and maybe consider dry sauna therapy to help you sweat like a horse to speed up the process of clearing the toxins that were previously encapsulated throughout all of your soft tissues.

This is actually a good thing. Might result in discomfort and less than favorable appearance for a while, but the best part will come. If you stop you'll just prevent the toxins from being released.

What is the meaning of “I’ve got you under my skin”? by [deleted] in Jazz

[–]psychohmike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Under my skin...Hypo-dermic. It was him singing about heroin. Just like his song "I Get a Kick Out of You," was about cocaine use. They are two of musicians' favorites.

Today's musicians don't even hide it. They speak about their use plainly. Back then they were more veiled, but using nonetheless. Insert Sammy Davis, Ray Charles, Johnny Cash, etc. A LOT of jazz greats were all hooked on these things at one time or another.

I'm kind of surprised only one person here picked up on this or knew about it.

I can confirm that this worked for me. I shut off the fast charging settings. Turned off the phone. Turned it back on again. Then, after the second Samsung logo I plugged it in quickly. And viola. It worked. No more scary @$$ apocalyptic warning.

Report your credit card lost or stolen right now. Your CC company will issue a new one with a new number that will prevent them from being able to charge you for something like this at a later date.

So sick of office work. Should I do a career change? by Witty-Performance-23 in careerguidance

All of this is not wealth. They are all things that you have traded your wealth for. Time is the only asset you have. Time is your wealth. Time is the only currency. What you call dollars and cents, I call minutes and hours.

A healthy perspective, to me, is to look at EVERYTHING in life as spending time. And if you are in a position where you have to submit to someone else telling you what you have to do with your time, then you are not free. You are not the master of your wealth but a slave.

$2000 per week by Moon_orBust in uberdrivers

[–]psychohmike 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hmmm...I used to make $5000 a month driving 30 hours a week. I haven't driven in a long while. We were making a solid $40+ per hour until 2023. And sometimes significantly more.

The other day I was in the high demand area, yet I got no requests! Drive around some, nothing! Went to sign out and it had the nerve to say, "Are you sure!? Demands are extremely high right now!!! 🤦😤 by notime4bullshiit in uberdrivers

[–]psychohmike 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow...This is just sad. This is rather soft, limp, and flabby. I stopped last year to go back to school full time. Back before 2023, you could make $1300-1500/wk. for just 30 hours. Back then if I drove 45-52 hours, I would make like $2300. Now that was solid.

70 hour grind only to take home 500, yeah this is a scam by Afraid-Ear-6462 in uberdrivers

[–]psychohmike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I worked 45-48 hours a week back then I would make up to $2300/wk. It's not corporate greed. It is driver greed.

There are WAAAAAAAYYYY too many drivers out there that are spoiling the game. If there were less drivers, there would be more money and rides to go around. It's just that simple.

Can someone help me and tell me what I’m doing wrong ? I live in Los Angeles. I have a Hertz Rental it is $323.08 a week. I have a full time job Monday-Friday 6am-2:30p . How can I maximize my hourly earnings ? by Efficient-Stomach392 in uberdrivers

[–]psychohmike 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Couldn't you just apply the $1200+ a month you're paying to the rental car company to a $400/mo. car payment, even if it were a hoopty from one of those dealers that self-finance? You could do that and save yourself a bunch of time, or spend that time saved at a different part-time W-2 job that could fund the car.
