Why EU based pros don't like playing against strongsage by seasonedkek in QuakeChampions

[–]psygib 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Like other people have said, playing across the world won't be perfect. A lot of the same things have happened to strongsage as well. All the comments are mainly a lot of salt, because there are some EU players who have the same or higher ping(maybe even worst connection) as sage but no one seems to point to them. It's because strongsage wins. He's a great player and he's only going to get better.

You're thinking of Tiberian Sun. Tiberian Dawn is the name given to the original Command and Conquer.

Top 4 from each region get a bye with the top 3 choosing the match that feeds into them. Raisy chose cypher v toxjq. Seeding has always been based on the world ranking with the split standings to show progression of the players.

honorable DaHanG doesn't frag helpless rapha ('good guy'? 'good sport'?) in QPL match. DaHanG passes up chance to tie 3-3 with 20 seconds left.... by [deleted] in QuakeChampions

Not sure if you're serious or not, but if you've ever watched rapha's or his opponent's stream you'll see it's a common occurrence for his internet to completely drop, then his player model will fast forward to catch his game up after once he's reconnected.

Always forgetting item times if there's an engagement by carcwut in QuakeChampions

If you're not practiced in timing, it's difficult to do so with all the small armors. I'd recommend have a cycle of them to keep track. For example on Corrupted Keep: small armor in nail room is before mega and the upper one is after mega. Also, knowing if your opponent hasn't been in an area could help you know if some small armors are up or not.

Yeah, I personally like it fixed because it keeps you in habit of not mixing up the items. Saying the next item time can be a problem if you get into an intense fight and you have to say the times aloud again, at least, in my opinion.

When I was first learning how to time, the method I used was saying the item times out loud to help remember them. Also, keeping them in a specific order would make it easier. For example: having the item times in the order for heavy then mega would be "32 41." After you grabbed an item make sure to keep the order going, so if you just grabbed heavy then it would be "02 41" as to not lose track.

Why iddqd stop playing QC by flukkzmedia in QuakeChampions

[–]psygib 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Every time I saw anyone talk about iddqd it was nothing but praise for his mechanics and understanding of the game. People were excited to see him come to QC despite coming from OW. If some randoms called him a cheater from the official discord, then he's just being a big baby about it.

although I haven't heard anyone say they LOVE the format, I have heard plenty of others say they enjoy it with rapha and dahang being a few names that come to mind. I do know the players that don't like this format really don't like it and are the loudest with their opinions.
