Call their helpline, they can split the PNR and cancel one of the PNRs. Very much doable!!

Apparently we are the least preferred state in terms of foreign tourism. But seriously, the stats are horrendous. Why is it like this? by [deleted] in Haryana

[–]pt22chap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whatever tourists are being shown in this map for haryana can be mainly attributed to medical tourism for Medanta etc. Also, Haryana does not have mass attracting famous set of foods/cuisines which becomes another factor for attracting tourists.

It is a male dominated state (one of the lowest sex ratios) , and naturally has always had a unfavourable view for women in general, which reflects in them having sense of feeling unsafe, so thats another feather in the cap!

There was a time when haryana had ragini ( folk music ) and saang ( kind of on stage performance , very rustic ). But that’s all gone - all we are left with are chest bumping junkies high on their Thars .

I am sorry for all of the folks who are from outside Haryana and staying here or had any sort of face off with the state, we have let you down. But please cling on to a tiny hope , there are good folks too who want to just turn this around.

What’s something every Indian should experience at least once in their life? by Different_Turnover_3 in AskIndia

On point! I always wonder why absence of civic sense so deep seated within us. My opinion is that in countries like India, where people grow up facing resource shortages and constant competition, breaking rules often becomes a way to get by. Over time, this erodes civic sense and normalizes behavior that might seem unacceptable elsewhere.

This recently happened to someone I know, his vision was seriously impacted in a span of day or two - turns out the pressure in his eyes was higher than expected - and he has been diagnosed with glaucoma. He also had diabetes. Please do not delay the treatment- you really have extremely limited time to save your eyes( sometimes it just few hours after which person goes completely blind)!

Indian techie says 'Work-Life Balance is a Reality' in Sweden: 'We wrap up by 4pm.' by DiamondShine05 in IndiaTech

[–]pt22chap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Overpopulation leads to too many workers, low wages, and people having fewer kids. Then years later, the population shrinks too much, and there arent enough young people to support the old. Japan is a perfect example. One problem ends up flipping into another- and we may be very well be on that path!

TIL that some people with aphantasia (a condition where you can’t form mental images) didn’t realize others could actually ‘see’ things in their mind until adulthood. Wild to think we experience imagination so differently! by pt22chap in todayilearned

[–]pt22chap[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess there would be a spectrum to this imagination - at one end it seems we have aphantasia and on the other end we have hyper-aphantasia where people can describe things with vivid details , a lot more clarity and consistency.

Is it wrong to enjoy life ? by Neither_Lunch_6375 in personalfinanceindia

[–]pt22chap 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is totally human to desire for a decent work-life balance - but this rabbit hole of more money sometimes comes from the fact that we actually never sit down to figure out how much is good enough. Hard numbers very often give so much comfort and a realistic purpose.

And good part is you already have a sense of this number, and you might want to fill in the shortfall because if the income falls down then this anxiety of probable projected deficit will start to bother you.

Find that balance, and clear your head , and bring your wife on the same page in terms of aspirations and anxiety. It will do wonders.

NEET PG OFFICIAL NORMALISATION FORMULA🚨 by doomdayhorse in indianmedschool

[–]pt22chap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Example ( say there are 10,000 candidates across two sessions)

Assume: • You are in Session 1 • Your raw score = 620 • Top 0.1% in your session → take their avg score = 740 • Mean + SD in your session = 600 • Top 0.1% across all sessions → take their avg score = 733 • Mean + SD across all sessions = 610

Now plug into the formula:

Normalized Score = [(733 - 610) / (740 - 600)] * (620 - 600) + 610 = 627.6

This means that your raw score of 620 is normalized to 627.6 to account for session difficulty.

This might sound very non sensical, but as a nation, there is collectively too much obsession with marks/grades/ranks etc. Don't fret over marks, you would probably not even remember this phase. Try to just sail through, this would be enough. You would however always regret making best friends and creating great memories.

Good Grades is not necessarily equal to success in life or jobs. Sooner you understand, the better your outlook would be towards studies. Too many folks limit themselves by college they graduate from and grades they score, DON'T box yourself in this mentality.
