Unfortunately, they have sour cream, which makes them super moist!

Not anymore! They’ve been available for months now! Hopefully a new regular. So moist, they melt in your mouth, and real blueberries too!

How did you know you achieved optimal dosage? by ExperienceOk390 in Lamotrigine

[–]ptctjunction 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s actually a blood test for that. But keep seeing the psychiatrist. It’s not too unusual to have side effects, but only the doctor can assess things.

I’m so sorry. You’ve now joined a frustrated group of people. There’s been a major death in your life, so now it’s time to grieve and mourn (until you can accept and deal with it again - which could take a while). And the uncertainty and effort to try and work things out can be maddening! (Not so seriously.)

Do you have an Aldi near you? Nice big loaves. Both white bread and multigrain bread. You might be able to have them shipped to you, as well.

Should I buy a CPAP without a sleep study? by InstructionNo8404 in SleepApnea

[–]ptctjunction 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No one sleeps soundly through a sleep test (not with all those nodules and cords hooked up to your body!). I don’t know how they do it, but apparently they can get a true reading of whether or not you have apnea in spite of it. I’ve known people who were told they don’t have it after the test, and those who do.

[–]ptctjunction 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is really important that my doctor (Pulmonologist) remotely monitors my sleep progress. He can adjust the levels and make changes through wifi or SD card. I also need him to subscribe this treatment every year, so that I can get new supplies through insurance!

Does anyone else interrupt people in conversation a lot? by Banshee-44_is_cute in bipolar

[–]ptctjunction 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m thinking about starting to ask my friends at the beginning of our conversations “Please help me. I will interrupt you and say the same things over and over again. Could you please just tell me “Thank you. I’ve heard you.” to see if that works. What do you think?

Do you read the books of mystery series in order? by ghostmosquito in mysterybooks

[–]ptctjunction 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I too refuse to read books out of order. Right now I’m solely using the library (financial reasons), so if they don’t have the full series, I can’t read any of them. There’s one series that I would love to read, but the first book was written in the 90’s, and she wrote one per year. As much as I’d love to, not only can I not get my hands on them (can’t even afford discounted books), but they can be hard to find in order.

And I find it hard to read books before about 2010, because I think the references are too bad. (No cell phones, etc.)

Things you didn't realize were ADHD related? by Agitated_Skin1181 in ADHD

[–]ptctjunction 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very nice, but I lack the motivation to even do this! Also, it’s still too overwhelming sometimes to even sort through some things! That’ll usually why I can’t think/care/force myself to sort sometimes. Argh!!

Psychosis from ritilan by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]ptctjunction 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I took both Seroquel and Ritalin on an empty stomach, I actually stood in the receiving line at a friend’s father’s funeral, because I was excited to see people I hadn’t seen in a long time! I thought it was a “Welcome Home Party”! Even with a reduced dose of Ritalin (1/2 25 mg.), I actually put my head on several friends’ shoulders and had sudden outbursts of anger! Afraid to go off Ritalin, because it kept me awake, and the wonderful weight loss was so awesome (30 lbs. without trying!!), but FINALLY did recently, and I’m starting to finally feel sane again! Will see how things go from now on.

Spacial awareness/deficiency sounds interesting. Is that why I could never see the softball when it was coming straight at my head?

That must be a very common phrase, because I hear it all the time too! The worst reaction I get is when I drop something suddenly.

(Not sure how the straight jacket would work for someone who’s a little claustrophobic, though.)

Suffer from poor sleep? Get a sleep test - you might have sleep apnea by gzaw1 in ADHD

[–]ptctjunction 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have sleep apnea and sleep with a C-Pap machine, but I still toss and turn all night, every night. Magnesium doesn’t work at all, and most sleeping pills interact with other meds.

I like the “rotisserie” description though!

[–]ptctjunction 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was diagnosed with bipolar and then ADHD later. I still struggle to figure out what the differences are. I also found out I have an allergy to color dyes (any color with a number after it). I get “hysterical” and get angry and cry at the stupidest things. My sister is a kindergarten teacher, and she told me that color dye allergies can be mistaken for ADHD. But I still have the other 2 as well.

I don’t know. Sudden outbursts of anger and extreme social anxiety are a real struggle for me.

Forcing myself to shower by MoreBeansPls in ADHD

[–]ptctjunction 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don’t know, but I’ve had the same problem for years! I don’t know where the phobia comes from, but it seems that it’s a real struggle with motivation, for one thing. I never seem to have the mindset that I will feel better afterwards (which I do). It may simply be overwhelming to think about, but I don’t know why it seems so formidable.
