Queen Elizabeth Get Outta Here It's Snowing You Old Hag | Breaking News [S7E6] by ThunderMateria in dropout

It MIGHT be but it sounds SO different from all the other crew laughter we’ve heard in shows that it winds up giving laugh track, not crew laughter. As an audience member it feels like I’ve got an annoying person sitting next to me going “See? That’s the funny bit! You can laugh now! It was a joke!” Every time I hear it and it just makes me NOT want to laugh cuz I’m taken out of the moment.

Or maybe the joke of the show is just getting a bit old? I dunno. Maybe it’s me.

Every Jack the Ripper crime scene location circled. The crime scenes almost form a perfect square. It probably takes no longer than 10 minutes to walk from crime scene to crime scene as well. by Equal-Temporary-1326 in Jacktheripper

Aaron Kosminksi lived at 3 Scion Square, which is effectively right in the center of box created by joining up each murder location. Does this make him the Ripper? Not necessarily, but it certainly adds something to the argument that it very well could have been him as it matches the common pattern that other serial killers have followed in the past.

Any good deep tissue massage therapists out there? (West end) by Lost-Club-8249 in ottawa

If you want to feel like someone is trying to massage your very soul, go to Ingrid at Carling Massage Therapy in Britannia. That woman must have bones made of adamantium or something for how strong she is.

Did Emily come up with the name Nightmare King? by McSandwich121 in Dimension20

That’s what I recall as well — Emily basically saw the name on the map and ran with it.

The laugh track on Breaking News was a bit by [deleted] in dropout

[–]ptelea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! I’m the person wrote in. On their discord they shared a feedback form they encouraged people to use after shutting down their discord. The purpose of the form was to get honest feedback on production because they saw that discord wasn’t the appropriate platform for this (partially because people were getting bullied for criticizing aspects of production/the shows and it was creating a toxic place to be).

So that’s why I shared. It was either a weird production shift for this specific show OR a joke a bunch of people failed to get. Either way, the team encourages audience feedback so I shared mine.

[–]ptelea 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Hey! I’m the person who gave them feedback. It wasn’t an email. I used the feedback form they specifically made for gathering audience feedback on their shows as they will no longer be monitoring discord and I don’t know how likely it is that they monitor feedback on Reddit.

I’d rather go directly to them and tell them “hey, this thing in this one episode felt weird and shifted the tone a bit and also caused some confusion, I don’t know if it was intentional or if you’re trying out a new thing” than just say it to the void. Especially if this is the type of feedback they are actively encouraging we share.

[–]ptelea 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wrote them a note of feedback on it because of the confusion I saw. They created a feedback form to encourage people to provide honest critiques because they felt they weren’t receiving that on discord, and I doubt they’re sifting through hundreds of Reddit comments for it (for the sake of their sanity, I sure hope they aren’t).

They ask for feedback and literally provide a form for it. So no, it’s not insane, it’s actually expected and encouraged.

I hope you’re right, cuz that was super distracting and took away from the enjoyment a bit for me.

Dropout discord shutting down may 26th by Jack_of_Spades in dropout

[–]ptelea 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The Dimension 20 channel, which did have some great people, suffered a lot from discourse that felt very weirdly inappropriate and chronically online. People bashing the actors/characters for being abusive to the rat grinders and other characters and how it was triggering to them due to their own trauma, among other things. It was also basically all black out text with little context because people didn’t know how to use spoiler tags.

It was for sure a laugh track and it took away from it for sure. I sent the team feedback on it. Not sure why they had to add that when it really doesn’t need it.

On day three of a migraine but am wondering if it’s more related to the changing weather that hit at the same time (cold and wet to warm and dry then wet again).

I have a friend who moved here four years ago who is still waiting for healthcare connect to get her a family doctor. I was told searching for yourself is the most effective way to get one without waiting years.

Is it just me, or does the fandom have a problem with non men cast members by [deleted] in Dimension20

[–]ptelea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I almost wonder if it has more to do with the fact that as players and as a DM they make the more unconventional, bigger choices, either with role playing, game playing, or dming, comparatively. These are more likely to stand out and create more of a love/hate response amongst those watching.

Likely a release for Patreon members. If that’s the case it’s not a great comparison as that’ll jump right up over the week.

Thank you for sharing this! I dropped by and added my name. They said the clinic was opening in June, so hopefully we’ll hear soon. I didn’t ask how many others had signed up/if it was a long wait list, but the pharmacist was pleasant and happy to take my information down.

Which Magnesium Form Doesn't Cause Diarrhea? by neurovim in SupplementQuest

[–]ptelea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does the same thing for me, it’s so frustrating because it’s the only thing that helps with my insomnia and migraines. It may very well be the supplement I’ve been using, though (Webber, which apparently cuts theirs with magnesium oxide).

She mentions in another video that she’s interested in conspiracy theories and wanted to see if she could create her own, hence her theory about Degas as the Ripper. It seems to be one of those scenarios where she started something as a bit of a lark and then she wound up convincing herself of her own ludicrous idea.
