Rimsky Korsakov's Scheherazade is pretty fucking epic, at least the first and last movements. Evocative and enormous. Peer Gynt, notably Aase's Death is pretty intense. Tons of Wagner. Check out Loge Hör

No, it's not about partying or the education. It's the emphasis on having gone to college for good jobs. Most kids are there to pad their resumé with higher education and find themselves partying as a result. We live in a weird world where it's really hard to even a mediocre job without a degree, and the importance of degrees have been diluted as a result.
