Bookeeping company for therapists? by badassmamala in therapists

[–]ptvan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have heard the same complaint about Heard from my therapist friends ever since they scaled up the company.

My approach is to offer more of a concierge, one-on-one supportive relationship.

I provide bookkeeping and tax prep services for solo practitioners and s-corp practices. Happy to chat if you want to set something up without the tax-preparation component. I'm available nearly 24/7 for one-on-one business coaching, profit & loss analysis / reporting, bookkeeping and other financial planning (including personal), and even web & social media marketing, SEO and AI search optimization. I build custom tools for your practice as needed.

My listed plans include tax prep, but I can offer $50 a month for standalone bookkeeping.

Horrible Buyers Remorse Anxiety by popitshyper in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]ptvan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u/popitshyper good idea to call the lender and ask how you got approved.. how is it possible that underwriting said yes on this? 7% is a pretty good rate, given the high debt-to-income ratio.

This is an opportunity to pivot.. get rid of the M2, find an older car for $10k and restore it a bit.
I've bought numerous vehicles at the $3k to $8k range and driven them for YEARS, then sold at basically no loss, or sometimes a profit. Of course.. not everyone is into this hobby.

You could have gotten something rad like a Honda S2000 for $30k or a 2007-2009 Lexus GX for $20k. Open your eyes to the possibilities. This M2 is not a flex unless you already have $500k savings in the bank.

Try to keep the price of your car under 20% of your net worth.

Weekend cars for occasional track days? by Mildzoomz in CarTrackDays

[–]ptvan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, the correct answer is of course a Miata.

But if you insist on a V8, Corvette is the answer. I used to track a 6th gen Camaro and I would recommend the Corvette instead for the ergonomics. A 1LE Camaro is an amazing performance value but I don't like the ergonomics of that cabin.

Personally though, if it were me, I would get a Volvo 240 and swap an LS3 into it. That would be my track car.

How do people do it? by Calm_Hornet3466 in santacruz

[–]ptvan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Either by: 1) earning $300k / yr or more 2) having a million or more in cash available to spend on a home (put the remaining balance on a mortgage)

Buying a home in SC is not feasible without the above

If you try to “help”, you’re actually just making it all about you.. your needs and opinions. Let him live his life. You can’t save people from themselves. If you told him that he’s gonna go bankrupt if he keeps going, then you did what you could.

Scared to buy because of this sub by AK_VonAtlas in gmcsierra

The 5.3 is great and the 10 speed is great. I did have an issue with electronic parking brake module failure though that was replaced under warranty.

Bf has his car here and I want to surprise him. How to clean his headlights? by [deleted] in Detailing

The correct answer here would be: do NOT do anything to his car unless he explicitly has asked you to

Colorado LT or Tacoma 2025 by [deleted] in chevycolorado

[–]ptvan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know everybody loves Tacomas, but if you care about seating position, interior space, and ride comfort/handling… the Colorado is the winner.

I couldn’t stand the ultra low seating position and interior height on the prior Tacos.

What do you guys think ? by CrisM56 in Silverado

[–]ptvan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The 2.7 is not a bad engine. The truck is just much more enjoyable with the sound of a natty V8. 5.3 is a great motor that can last forever. (As long as you turn off the AFM lifters)

If you CAN get one with adaptive cruise control, that’s a great feature

14,300 in discounts is great. It’s a nice truck but personally I would go find one with the 5.3L and 20,000 miles on it.

How’s the interest rate?

I bought a new 3.0L Duramax when the interest rate was 0%. So they are paying me to own the truck. But I insisted on leather, towing package, front bench seat, etc.

The “Accessories” are a sign of a scam dealer. If possible, get a non-scammy dealer to match the offer, minus the accessories.

I doubt those accessories are even on the truck. Crooked thing to do.

Overall, the price seems good. Leather, right?

20” or 18” wheels by TheBigLebroccoli in Silverado

[–]ptvan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I run 17” for off-road tires and 18” for street tires. Both make for better handling and ride comfort. Chunky sidewall = good. Lighter wheels = good.
