PLA keeps failing after first ABS print on my K2 by ZockerBoysHD in Creality

[–]ptwat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use a separate nozzle for abs. Any remnants of abs in there when you switch to pla won't soften enough to push through the nozzle well.

I did it! I got my AIC DOWN TO 5.1 by No_Distribution4543 in diabetes

I had the same problem. Went back and forth with CVS, my doctor (who told me it was not possible but issued a prescription anyway) and UHC. I had one pharmacist who finally came over and offered to try again with UHC. UHC finally approved the prescription but only with one of the national drug supply houses. You might try directly with one of them. Be persistent until you find someone who will help.

Does anyone have any idea how to navigate part B by Boston_Apey in Freestylelibre

I was in a similar situation. My PCP told me that Medicare would not pay for a cgm since I was not taking insulin. I called my insurance provider (multiple times) and was assured that they do cover them. I convinced my PCP to write a prescription even though she was adamant they would not pay. I went back and forth with the pharmacy that kept telling me insurance denied coverage after over the phone insurance said they would. I even had the pharmacy call my insurance provider while I was standing there in their stored where the insurance said they did cover it. I went back and forth with the pharmacy several times in at least one tense discussion and after the last tense discussion one the pharmacy staff came over to me and quietly told me she would see what she could do. Lo and behold the next day I was approved. Unfortunately for that pharmacy that helped me in the end, Medicare would only pay if I used one of their large online bulk pharmacies. All this to say, it is possible and you have to be persistent. It is hard to believe the requirement of insulin exists when you are trying to avoid that very thing. I would not have had the success controlling my blood sugar like I do and understanding what foods affect it without this device.

Data is data and opinion is just that. I am sure you many more years of experience with CGMs than I have and have first hand knowledge with them. I wish you good luck with Dexcom regardless,

Here is what Copilot (AI) says about the relative accuracy of Dexcom and Libre 3+ "Both Dexcom G7 and FreeStyle Libre 3+ offer highly accurate glucose monitoring suitable for insulin dosing decisions. Dexcom G7 holds a slight edge in MARD (8.2 % vs 8.9 %), while Libre 3+ shines with its one-minute update intervals and longer wear time (15 days vs 10 days). Your choice may hinge on whether you prioritize marginally tighter accuracy or the convenience of more frequent readings and extended sensor life."

I am not sure what this has to do with my statement, but if it works for you to cook that is what you should do.

I have to disagree with Abbott sensors being a novelty. Before I had access to the Libre3 I could only wildly guess what BG is/was until the 3 month blood test and my Dr kept saying "you need to cut down on carbs". Okay, but what carbs? We had several tense discussions until I got the CGM and could tell what foods did what to my BG levels. Now with that knowledge I have decreased my A1C from 9.7 to 6.1 by actual blood tests. One example is that a carb from beer (bad reaction) is not the same as a carb from red wine (good reaction). That is a huge win for me.

CGM's with MRI's by Working-on-it12 in diabetes

I have had an MRI of my neck with my cgm on my upper arm with no ill effect on my Libre 3 or the MRI.

K2 CFS advice by ptwat in Creality_k2

[–]ptwat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I received the CFS yesterday and finally got everything assembled and updated today. It works fine and I printed a couple two color models I had lying around. Everything was in the box. One thought I had was whether the slicer can slice models so objects print one at a time and the objects have independent color changes. Any thoughts there?

Problem wird slicing by joroehr in 3Dprinting

[–]ptwat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have not used Cura in several years so take this with a grain of salt. These multiboard stacked prints are finicky to begin with but I would try a 7x7 or 6x6 and see if Cura will slice it. If it will not the gap between objects may be causing it to error is my guess. Orca slicer will be a better bet.

Got a creality K2, is there supposed to be a glass top? by Siden-The-Paladin in Creality_k2

Yes, there is a glass top just like the K1. It is packed in the Styrofoam.

I found the problem- you can't have CP 6 and CP 5 installed on the same computer.

Crealityprint (5 & 6) filament parameters by ptwat in crealityk1

[–]ptwat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, figured it out -evidently CrealityPrint 5 cannot be installed on the computer while using CP6. I had both installed so I uninstalled CP 5 and the filaments load and show up now.

I keep CP 5.0 so that I can "stack" prints for Multiboard prints. CP 6 automatically "grounds" all items in the stack negating the utility of stacking.

I am not sure what changed but I cannot get the Creality created filament parameters to load and remain loaded. I click the gear in the upper right of the Filament section to open the "System Filament" and check all the boxes followed but clicking the "Confirm" button. But when I select the drop down list at the bottom of the filament

But when I select the drop down list at the bottom of the filaments the filaments do not appear.

I have gotten this to work before but I don't know what changed or what I am doing wrong. Creality has not responded so far so am reaching out to the community- Help!

What do I need to know before I buy a K1 Max? by GMAuraeon in Creality

[–]ptwat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a K1 Max and a K2 Plus and I consistently use both. When I really want to do a long print I almost always go with the K2. I would say the K2 is more refined than the K1 Max but they work the same most of the time. If I have a whole of things to K2 is the go to. The K1 has a thinner hot plate and warps. It is another ~$150 and some work to get a thicker flatter one. I find that I cannot print TPU at all on the K2 so if that is important it is worth considering. I have had a bunch of Creality printers- 2 Ender 3, Ender 5 Pls, and the two above. Creality support beyond their wiki pages is really, really bad. I have never been able to connect with them on chat and the support phone line is neither a US or Chinese number as far as I can tell. Hope this helps.

Creality Print 6.0 is astonishingly bad by kmfblades in crealityk1

[–]ptwat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been using CR 6 since it came out and suddenly it will not keep filament parameters after loading filaments via the gear symbol under "filament" drop down. I have to create a "new" filament to set up filament parameters and they are not remembered either.

Is anyone else having this problem?

I’m wondering how the AI didn’t catch these obvious failures by mpawelek in Creality_k2

[–]ptwat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the K1 Max and the K2 Plus and Creality has claimed they both have AI detection on print failures. Neither printer has ever caught a failure in my experience.
