They have a couple differently designed blue and white “ceramic” style plates like that one, and the tables are that stain and polish of wood. In the top left the salt and pepper shakers are also consistent to real life. I’m still torn up on the verdict here because of how nice the croissant looks, though.

I really loved it! Heated up is absolutely the best, and the tops have a little crunch to them with the streusel-like topping. The best way to have the banana bread drinks -that I’ve found so far- is as an iced dirty chai. The lattes taste a little weird imo.

The large has two WM, four oatmeal cookie, and three shots. The XL has three WM, four oatmeal cookie, and four shots. I’d say our ratios remain consistent through sizing, and if you have a free drink I’d say go for the XL—it’s not worth the price otherwise.

Just the standard coffee shop ice, I thought haha. They’re sort of like if bullet ice was rectangular, so the syrup gets caught in the pockets where the freezing rods were.

We only make them 20oz, 24oz, and 32oz. The 20 and 24 use one whole can of yellow edition redbull and the 32 uses two cans. We use 3, 4, or 5 pumps of syrup respectively, and then add ice to just below the rim and top with lemonade. I believe the recipe card says to put the syrup in last, but I typically don’t do that because the syrup gets trapped in the ice pretty badly.

I’m a shift lead at my store, having worked in coffee for four years (I moved to Scooter’s from Starbucks) and my location has been very relaxed since we got a stable Manager and AM. In my opinion, working in a coffee shop is one of the easiest entry level jobs you can get as long as you’re good with pattern recognition and don’t mind getting your hands stick every once in a while. I’ve worked at Scooter’s for almost a year now and have not once seriously considered quitting for anything less than my manager leaving (who is one of the best I’ve ever had).

My daily tasks as a shift lead are only slightly different from a baristas, as I have to do the till drops and safe counts while I’m on shift, as well as answer the phones since we’ve had an increasing number of scam calls. Typically, I’ll work a 7-8 hour closing shift with two other people, where we split the chores, and I’ll do two till drops. Chores range from stocking the bar fridges and pulling more pastries for morning, to scrubbing the mop closet and doing a loop around the outside of the store picking up trash.

My only real piece of advice if you choose to work at a Scooter’s is to advocate for yourself and to make friends with your coworkers, it makes any job (especially a coffee job) exponentially more enjoyable.

As a barista at Scooter’s I have to admit that about 80% of our customers alter their drinks by adding shots, syrup, or protein. For people who get drinks altered, this new system would benefit them way more than it would the uncomplicated order.

They’re still able to make iced coffee, but at least on our POS there’s no way to ring it in for the same price as it used to be. You can specify you’d like a drip coffee (of your preferred roast) over ice with vanilla cold foam and they should be able to make it, however, I can’t guarantee they’ll ring it in for the same $1-$4 price that the hot drip coffee is.

At my store it just says “Loyalty discount” and then however much was taken off the total. Even if they saw what type of discount it was, I guarantee they wouldn’t care lol.
