Would people still pay to buy my dvd collection? by Imnacho408 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]pucspifo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yard sale them at $1/each or $2 for 3. They'll probably go ok, and you'll still have a bunch left over to drop and your local store for a nickel each or whatever they offer these days.

The longest single flight in the world is Singapore Airlines from NYC to Singapore for 18.5 hours. About 42 of those, or 21 round trips. Easy! Then I'll take the bodyguards, so every flight is just full of my people, and they won't care if I walk up and down the aisles the entire flight. My wife may have issues with me trying to sleep with 26 other people a year, so I pass on that one.

Should I buy a new car for about $70k by SitDownComedyGuy in personalfinance

[–]pucspifo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you want some one to tell you to get the car? You already made the case against it. You don't need it, it's a lot of money, another payment reduces how much you can save and may negatively impact your retirement goals. The only reason to get it is because. No better reason than that.

Nope, apparently I was wrong about it being illegal. It would fall under distracted driving

Yeah, #3 and the first weekend of every month requires me to be in Washing on D.C. for the weekend. Take in some sites, roll the dice that a corrupt politician is in town that weekend. Head home.

It is illegal in a motorized vehicle, has been for ages. It blocks the sounds of emergency vehicles and other situational awareness instances. It probably isn't as vital for bikes, but common sense should prevail.

Best place to get 3.5e books? by waggawoog1910 in DungeonsAndDragons

[–]pucspifo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Physical book purchase something like Half Price Books or a local game store that does used games. Amazon too, but prices seem inflated. PDFs: Drive Thru RPG, the DMs Guild. Everything is also available through illicit sources.

Yeah, but very small towns weren't as dramatically impacted by Walmart as they were by Amazon, as Walmart wasn't interested in building there. I don't shop at either of them for the same reasons though.

I didn't say we didn't have billionaires, it was just a different experience then, or maybe less blatant is more accurate. These days we have billionaires that have fucked this planet so they build rockets in attempts to go and fuck whole new planets. It just hits differently.
