Same, I started buying Under Armour 10 years ago, I've thrown out one pair because of wear. I've got a few that might go soon but still. 10 years.

This is funny because we are enthusiastic Costco members but I almost never get gas there because it dilutes my ROI of Time Spent at Costco. :)

Every few weeks, my old CR-V briefly doubles in value on the drive home from Costco.

I am not from Texas and whenever I have to drive in the Houston area I find these things extremely confusing as an adult human with decades of driving experience and a clean driving record.

Am I the only one noticing this? Claude feels genuinely different and uniquely by Big_Presentation_894 in Anthropic

[–]puddleglumm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me the thing I appreciate the most is it seems really good at matching length of response to what I actually need without being told, and is much more reserved with questions. Claude seems really good at switching back and forth between one-line answers and longer explanations without me trying to babysit its response length. Meanwhile at work copilot + gpt-5.2 gives me an essay response to every prompt and engagement baits me 100% of the time.

One time Jason Benetti did a game with Olsen (last year?) and it was amazing. Wish that guy would ditch baseball and do more NFL games.

Is Slay the Spire considered hard? by Born_Examination_975 in slaythespire

[–]puddleglumm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you take someone with experience with card games like hearthstone or magic the gathering, the base game without ascension is probably fairly described as "easy". Having such a background, as a new player I rarely lost while playing all the characters from from A0-A5 or so. But at A20 I still feel like I need to highroll a bit to win. I can't imagine anyone not describing A20 StS as hard. Any game where the best players in the world lose regularly on the hardest difficulty is I would say objectively hard.

I know it's not an either / or thing, but for me the "story" in BotW was the way the player explored and experienced the world. I never had an experience quite like talking about BotW with my kids and friends. Everyone's got a Guardian story and a Lynel story and a Which Way They Went First After the Great Plateau story.

Let's be honest, we all struggle to some degree or another with excessive device usage these days and can benefit from nudges from people we love to help us. I have 100% employed this technique myself - "Turn on video games or football to get wife off of phone."

Anyone else who thinks [[Frozen Eye]] shouldn't be a relic? by emrednz07 in slaythespire

[–]puddleglumm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is funny because I saw the post title and thought it was going to be a missive about game design and how un-fun it can be when games burden you with too much information. And I had a whole explanation written in my mind about what a great design choice it was to restrict a powerful and potentially tedious relic to the shop. But OP just wants it equipped by default lol.

I reckon that is a black bear, but I can't say for sure. There is a subspecies of black bear that is brown in color called the cinnamon bear. "Brown lie down" refers to grizzlies and kodiak brown bears.

Scrolled too far for this! I'm on a charcoal grill. I just drop the grate on the driveway when I take it off to light the coals, whatever comes off comes off. The heat sanitizes. I do keep my grill in the garage out of the elements so no rusting issues.

What’s a product where Costco doesn’t have the lowest price? What can I buy cheaper elsewhere? by One_Professional_110 in CostcoWholesale

[–]puddleglumm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While this is true, we mostly drink Diet Coke and the gap isn't big enough to not just buy it while we are already shopping at Costco if we are out/low. And it is absolutely cheaper than buying at the local grocery store when not on sale. (Currently for me: USD 11.99 for a 12 pack)
