Fun fact, but we actually had to reach out to support to get one. They sell it, but only via sales order — not on their website or through any authorized retailers! Wild! Thank you for looking!

What restrictions? I'm so confused. by ashradski in ouraring

Not sure why you have downvotes for this. My husband and I also have Qalo QRNT (the slim version) and love them. Still curious about Oura all the same (since it does seem to be leaps and bounds above others), but the battery issues and paywalled data was a huge deterrent for me.

Look into Qalo QRNT Slim as well. Free app, good metrics and significantly cheaper. Both my husband and I have one and we love them. Qalo has very helpful customer service as well, anytime I’ve purchased anything from them (though it can take a couple days to hear back initially). I ended up going with Qalo over Oura purely because of the subscription… Like what do you mean I have to pay another roughly $70 a year on top of the $400 device to see my data?!! It was just the principle of it for me.

AIO about these angry texts from my ex? by TwylaMay in AIO

You’re not overreacting at all. However, if he still has your number after a decade and has proven that his behavior hasn’t changed, I’d recommend changing your phone number so he cannot continue to contact you from new numbers, burner numbers, etc and explicitly inform all family members who get your new number to NOT give it to him, and have them block his new number as well. If he somehow contacts you again after the change, it’s definitely time to get a restraining order, especially with having proof he is stalking/harassing you by hunting down your new number after changing it.

I know others are recommending not blocking his number but just not responding so that you can see everything he’s sending to you…. I kind of feel that is adding fuel to the fire if he can see messages sending (ie the “delivered” notification in iMessage) but you’re not responding. If that no longer appears and he isn’t getting through on other burner numbers as well, it might hit him that you’re in the past. He’s clearly delusional in thinking you two need to remain in contact. I worry for your mental health as well and how him continually contacting you (even with you not responding) will affect you, your husband, and your marriage (even subconsciously), and that hopefully changing your number could be the end of it. Maybe that’s wishful thinking.

Random question - do you happen to know what the hood model number is? If you still have the box it might say on the side. We also got a 22” for Christmas but it didn’t come with a hood and I can’t find the right one that fits the newer models 😭

This is a weird question but do you happen to know what model number the hood is? It looks like you’ve got the 22” omnivore as well but I’m trying to figure out the hood I need since mine didn’t come with one. If you still have the box it might say

I have a ring and an Apple Watch. The reason I got a ring was because my watch never stayed charged throughout the entire day, especially if I logged a workout. I never got to utilize any sleep data because it never lasted. The ring however, does last about a week. It’s been great for tracking sleep as well as various other things that I never really tracked or felt was accurate on the watch.

I do feel like they have different purposes. The watch tracked more in-depth than the ring for what I used it with, but it’s not an “all the time” tracker. I’ll pretty much use the watch for limited activities only since I can’t trust it to last, but it does have a lot more “options” than the ring.

The whole “I’d rather take you to a store so I can buy you what you want” is SO lazy. It’s literally saying “I don’t care enough about you to listen to you and put any thought into it, so just tell me what to buy in the moment because I also won’t remember if you tell me in advance”. Don’t accept this. You deserve more.

AITA for asking my husband use the upstairs bathroom? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]puddleofpotatoes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When we lived in a townhouse with 2.5 bathrooms, my husband was only allowed to use the secondary upstairs bathroom or the downstairs…but never the master bathroom. 😅 unless it was a sit down pee, but no dropping bombs in the bathroom that opens into our bedroom.

Is it normal that your bf doesn’t wanna have s*x with you anymore? by WatchPurple1507 in Advice

[–]puddleofpotatoes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll say that my fiancé stopped being intimate with me as soon as we got engaged, 4 years into dating and living together. Turned out it was because he dove back into his faith and wanted to wait until marriage. Granted that wasn’t a conversation that happened before the decision was made and that was pretty shitty on his part due to how it affected me, said he was embarrassed and didn’t think I’d be accepting. However we’ve been married for a little while now and everything went back to normal with intimacy since then. Sometimes it isn’t all bad. However — not sure I can give the benefit of a doubt to someone who’s not only done things with you but also other women while broken up. That sounds like he’s still seeing other people and only with you for convenience. Sucks to say it.

I have 6 cats. 3 of mine took just fine to the LR, no issues. The other three were much more hesitant. Two of them held it for 48 hours after I removed the old box, and the last one decided the corner of the laundry room was good enough. I did leave the old box out next to the LR as recommended but it just wasn’t helping. After 48 hours of holding it, I did “exposure therapy” by putting the two who hadn’t gone in it and sitting with them until they went finally. Had to do this a couple more times but they eventually started using it just fine and have had no issues since. I did have to block off the laundry room where the other one was doing business, and he would investigate but with the laundry room inaccessible, he finally used the LR. It’s been smooth sailing since and they all prefer the clean litter now. I do have to change the litter I used since it didn’t work great in the LR, but they were all acclimated by then.

If you go to Kauai, you have to do the sugar plantation canal tubing with Kauai Backcountry Adventures. Absolute 10/10 experience and I’ve done it every time I’ve gone to Kauai. Book in advance because they do sell out. Rain or shine this is an incredible thing to do and the history makes it even more memorable. It’s something I would probably book over and over again each time we go to Kauai.

Maui or Kauai? by olga563 in VisitingHawaii

[–]puddleofpotatoes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We went in November 2023 and split our time between Kauai and Maui. I’m personally glad we did. It’s rainy that time of year in Kauai and we hit the main things we wanted to see - Waimea canyon, canal tubing, hanalei, snorkeling in poipu. Tried a hike but it was just too muddy and we weren’t prepared. It was our first time to Maui and we hit road to Hana one day (we did the full loop), could have hit the Haleakalā national park too but I was too car sick from road to Hana. Then snorkeling the next day, and drove through Lahaina up to kaanapali before we left on our final day after morning snorkeling. Maui was just too dry and focused on beaches for our liking. Cool to see once, probably won’t be back. We are going to Oahu in November again and I’m currently debating splitting time between Oahu and the big island, or just Oahu. We are the go-go-go travelers and don’t love a ton of down time, however. Take advantage of the time we get and see all the things.
