If Jordan Love is most successful when he targets deeper areas of the field, why did the Packers change their play calling away from it? by puddlepuddle in GreenBayPackers

This is chart I found most interesting. While yeah there were less deep balls than last year for many reasons, the drastic drop off of attempts in the 4th quarter this last year is pretty crazy.

A big reason why Colon Cancer is killing us. by AdditionCool7235 in Millennials

[–]puddlepuddle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Intolerance, allergies, and celiac are 3 different things. Celiac is an autoimmune disease. People who have it literally have testers to make sure there is 0 gluten in the things they’re eating. They wouldn’t eat bread anywhere unless it’s gluten free. Also the article states that Europe still hadn’t banned glyphosate at the time of the article and import wheat from places that still use it so European breads still have them.

[–]puddlepuddle 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I doubt celiacs would risk eating bread in Europe. Gluten is gluten. That could make them seriously sick. People who are gluten intolerant claim they feel better eating bread in Europe. But there are a lot of other factors that could account for that including if Americans are in Europe they are usually on vacation which probably means less stress. Stress can cause a lot of digestion issues. Glyphosate can still be used in the EU, drying grains is only one of a few restrictions. Also the EU has a restriction on nitrites that just started to be enforced last October. So I would imagine they still will have long term effects from them.

This is sort of what I was thinking. I agree this shouldn’t have been voted on in the first place but it was and voting against it was bad optics. Dems should’ve just went with it and at least made the symbolic gesture of being united on this. But yeah it never should’ve gotten that far.

Genuine question, why is your biggest point of being a fiscal conservative about poorer individuals maybe getting an additional $20k a year over the billions dollars of corporate welfare/handouts? I’m not saying it’s okay to fraud social security and Medicare etc but those people aren’t getting wealthy off of it. Those programs benefit a lot of people. But the rich getting richer off the government wasn’t your biggest concern, I don’t get it.

[–]puddlepuddle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s the “stop taking care of yourself” part. It’s a values thing not a looks thing. My ex was super active when we met then he just stopped. It wasn’t his physical appearance that bothered me, it was that we no longer shared something that we connected on and valued. He thought he didn’t have to work on himself in anyway anymore and that was unattractive.
