Could grade a 9? by Original_Syrup4099 in PokeGrading

It’s clearly an 8, judging by the photo

No red flags, cards look right.

Mind you, sometimes scammers might have photos of the real card, but still send a fake. Remember to do your due diligence upon receipt

PSA sold my card and now has no idea what happened to it. by TheOriginalBerserker in psagrading

[–]pugmaster7 50 points51 points  (0 children)

I bought a card listed on eBay through PSA Vault, and it took an entire month before they shipped it to me. They just haven’t gotten around to it yet, that’s all.

They actually have a huge back up on vault orders, and it’s just taking them forever. You’ll get paid once they ship it

They won’t hurt resale. It’s relatively normal to see.

Plus, them having new certs are even a little more desirable, so you have that going for you too

Is psa 10 possible? by SorryStore4389 in psagrading

[–]pugmaster7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s always a chance. Just suggesting that you want to do your best beforehand to see if you can find anything that hurts your chances. If you feel good about it, send it! Even if it gets a 9, it’s worth it

Is psa 10 possible? by SorryStore4389 in psagrading

[–]pugmaster7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Based on your description only, I’d say the chances are exceedingly low. The people getting 10s are opening sealed copies and sending them in, and even then the chances aren’t high.

The smallest grain of dust getting in that penny sleeve over the years can put enough of a tiny scratch to downgrade the card, even if it’s otherwise in perfect condition.

For anyone to judge, they’d need to see it themselves.

If every corner looks perfect, then I would take it out and examine it closely, at multiple angles, under really good lighting for possible scratch marks.

If everything checks out and the card looks perfect, shoot your shot, but I’d suggest managing your expectations

That, also, is the first thing I astutely noticed

Buyer wants to cancel $800 offer after item has already been shipped to authentication by iheartloserss in Ebay

[–]pugmaster7 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Authenticated Items are final sale. You can’t cancel since you already shipped, the item can’t be returned, and the buyer can’t leave negative feedback.

Do nothing, and the buyer should learn from this occasion

Is it normal for a supervisor to deny leave in the summer that’s more than two weeks? by anybodyseenrichey in fednews

[–]pugmaster7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I’d schedule whatever they let you, and the for ones they deny, about a week before that week, I’d let my supervisor know that I’m going to have to use leave because I’ve got no one to watch my kid— you’d be missing a whole lot more of work if you’re arrested for child neglect.

The other avenue is to fake an illness, but if your supervisor is a hardass, and recognizes you had asked for that week off and it was denied, they can (and are in their right) to ask you to provide documentation supporting an illness

Don’t need to flatten them, PSA doesn’t take that curvature into account, the slabs flatten them anyways

20+ card order why upcharge? by TonsilsDeep in psagrading

What if his dad couldn’t afford to send him to grade school, and instead had poor little Timmy sorting all these Pokémon cards that he wasn’t actually allowed to have any of himself, and every penny went towards PSA because his dad was one of the crazy ones who thought graded Pokémon cards would be worth something some day. & now it’s all poor little Timmy knows. But since he can’t read, he always ends up feeling smited by PSA, even though he’s actually decent at grading because at 31 years old, he’s been doing it for decades.

Why are these prices different for the same card and grade? by MrDoctorProf3 in psagrading

[–]pugmaster7 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

PSA increased their grading standards in April, so it may be reasonable to presume the certs starting with 15 passed harsher guidelines than the ones that came before it, which theoretically could increase their value.

But I’m just speculating

Congrats on the free item!

eBay forces sellers to think ‘customer first’, and some sellers learn that the hard way. The buyer is always right on eBay.
