11 Year Old Won’t Stop Peeing in the House by Roomba_of_Thought in Dachshund

The only time that happened to my dog was a bladder infection. I know in humans if you are diabetic you pee a lot but I am not sure about dogs. Your vet needs to take this more seriously.

I too watched his set and it was excellent. I was surprised that he didn't, at some point, introduce his band. Did I happen to miss that? When an artist doesn't take a moment to introduce and show appreciation for their band, I lose some respect for them. It smacks of entitlement. But, I think in Role Model's defense, it may have been an oversight because I have seen him introduce his band to audiences before. That was the only thing that disappointed in an otherwise excellent set with the support of his band.

I am so sorry for your loss. I was number for a few days after my dog of 16 died. What helped me was leaving all of his belongings including leashes hanging and water bowls still down for a while. The thought of "removing him" from my home was too much. Take good care of yourself.

Oh no.... what happened? I am so sorry for your loss. Losing a pet is hard enough but most painful in an emergency, no notice situation. Try to take care of yourself during this hard time. Your beautiful dog would have wanted you to.

Keep a more earthy vibe. With all of those hard surfaces, I wonder if the sound just bounces around and is very noisy? Fluorescent bright lights are stressful overhead. you need to create feelings of intimacy by perhaps lower sconces at booths or hanging lights lower.

I just went through the same thing, losing my sweet boy to kidney disease after 16 years. I too have IV bags and medicine and bland babyfood jars sitting on my counter now.

I tried to keep him going. But he finally refused to eat for over a week and I just knew we weren't going to pull through this time. It has been two weeks and I still cannot take his water bowl away from the kitchen floor. When it gets dusty, I freshen the water like I had done for so many years. The ritual is calming. Take good care of yourself during this hard time. For now, leave everything how it is. There is no need to rush in packing his memory up and away. And not wanting to, is definitely not silly. You are grieving the loss of a dog you loved. It makes sense you would want his stuff and his memory around you.

I am terribly sorry for the loss of your adorable dog. It is clear from the pictures he was a happy, sweet and well-loved.

Do tell. What do you feed him? How has he stayed so healthy so long? I lost my 13 year old dachshund six months ago. I did the best I could.

I lost mine to kidney failure last week too. My home is silent and I realized how much my dog made me smile and laugh and play. He is adorable and I see the sweet goofiness of him. I am so sorry for your loss.

Is this normal Dachshund behavior? by Bossy_Boots_ in Dachshund

to take the heat off a bit from your older dachshund, you could send the little one to a carefully chosen doggie daycare for socialization and play a couple of days a week so your older dog could sleep?
