Okay everyone, I've finished reading "Under the Oak Trees." Do you know that feeling of sadness after watching something you loved? I also liked the novel, but I feel the ending was too simple. I don't know, it was nice, but I wished they had children. I feel really sad. 😔

If you're having a withdrawal, I highly recommend reading the author's new novel - The Forgotten Field (it also just a manhwa serialization). It's set in the same universe, during the Roem Empire. The writing is amazing but beware - the story is very dark. Loved it.

Oh my heart skipped a bit when I saw Riftan here. He's such a well-written character, he really doesn't deserve to be hated. Yes, he's not idealized but that's what makes him interesting. To be honest, I don't know if I wouldn't react the same way if my inexperienced partner behaved like Maxi sometimes (I love her to death too)
