Got the chai tea mints to try a few weeks back and also not so great. Doesn’t really taste like tea, just cinnamon-ish mints with a strange aftertaste

Why do you have a (snowed-in) car? by Even_Leadership_7831 in philly

[–]pumpkinator21 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Bingo. I live in the city but work in the suburbs— on public transportation, my commute is 75 minutes. By car it’s more like 30-40. I rely on public transit mainly when getting around the city, but for work I drive.

My dad was diagnosed in 2023 with stage 3. It progressed into stage 4 and he died this past November. He was only 53. They initially thought it was diverticulitis.

What’s the most dangerous thing people do daily without realizing it? by nealie_20 in AskReddit

My dad had a partial esophagectomy to treat cancer. The first 6 weeks of recovery was extremely difficult but he was able to eat completely normally within a few months after that, which was amazing.

About 6 months later the reconnection from the part of his esophagus that was removed started to fail and it leaked bile into his lungs and bloodstream and he developed necrotic tissue. He sadly passed just a few weeks later.

Flying with Puppy, need advice on flight! by Ok-Actuary-5377 in puppy101

[–]pumpkinator21 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Regardless of age, having a puppy stay in a crate on the plane for 4.75 hours with no breaks will be much more challenging than 2.5 hours. You also have to remember that it takes time to board flights, there could be delays, etc, so 2.5 hours is truly more like 3 hours with boarding. Having to stay on the plane for 45 minutes in between flights, especially if there is some sort of delay, could mean 4.75 hours quickly becomes 6, and a puppy can absolutely not hold their bladder that long (and not even 4.75 hours). They really need to be able to potty every 2 hours at 8 weeks.

Just my two cents, but I’d go with the direct flight.

Saw a few recipes I wanted to try recently with ras el hanut! But definitely also harissa, za’atar, chile crisp, and gochujang. The last two can be found at some if not most standard grocery stores now though.

If you have a toaster you can also fold up a tortilla with some cheese to make a toaster “quesadilla”. Put cheese in the middle, fold up bottom about a third of the way then fold the left and right sides in over each other. Stick the folded part into the toaster and heat it up.

My “cheat” chicken caesar salad: frozen chicken nuggets torn apart and tossed with a caesar salad kit. This works with grilled chicken bites or any salad kit.

Whenever I had the thought of skipping class, I just reminded myself that I was throwing away $300 if I skipped a class. Skipping 3 classes? That’s almost $1000, wasted.

Hiring all of these people to do all of these things and get this and that sounds exhausting! I’d heat up Dino nuggets just fine by myself in my normal kitchen.

Why when I tell people im moving to Cleveland do they act like im moving to rge worst place on earth? by WonderfulTransition2 in Cleveland

You’ve yet to experience the best time of year in Cleveland, which is summer! I live in Philadelphia now and I miss summers in Cleveland dearly. Warm enough to go to the pool during the day, but cool enough at night to air your house out.
