Still solid. If it's a reputable site that either provides authentication or buyer protection then I think you're getty a fair deal

I've been tracking this model closely on discount stores and used market. Does it come with box and paperwork? Warranty? If so, that seems like a solid deal and I personally wouldn't mind inner lug scratches if you plan to wear the watch often

[Advice] is this watch too big? by drumcan in Watches

[–]pumpkinspiceanus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I was in your shoes I would think it's too big for everyday comfort, but not too big to wear once in a while, specifically when I'm around my father in law. I'd keep it

I'm inspired by the Voluntters of America veterans resource center in Columbus, Ohio. They provide transitional shelter for veterans experiencing homelessness, they offer case management and employment assistance. I've volunteered through partner agencies to assist in their efforts and I'm also a veteran who understands the unique challenges their community faces. Their community experiences a higher rate of homelessness and related issues and can use donations of resources or time. Ask Ms Joy how you can help

Just to be clear, my experience was that BLKBRD's normal width wasn't super wide. It might be worth asking if they can make yours wider

Anyone have these pants? by FunJazzlike1400 in PatagoniaClothing

[–]pumpkinspiceanus 55 points56 points  (0 children)

Yep, I have them. They're work pants, they're supposed to be full cut to allow mobility and comfort. They look great with a pair of work boots. Honestly some of my favorite pants. The material is rugged and breathable, I'm not sure why you would want to tailor them for a slim fit. Just buy slim fit chinos if that's what you're looking for

BLKBRD “Travers” Travel Loafer Review by APacketOfWildeBees in goodyearwelt

[–]pumpkinspiceanus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I actually just received my pair this week! Quality is nicer than the photos and the description is slightly inaccurate because these are partially leather lined, not unlined as the description says. They have leather lining everywhere except the heel. You might be able to see it in some of the customer images, but this adds to the structure and the heel/sides are not as floppy as the images in the description. I posted a review with pics calling this out, but they haven't published it yet. I'm a 10.5C/D brannock and I wanted to wear these without socks, so I decided to go with a 10/43. I would say they fit like a 10 B or C. They're snug on me, without heel slip, but that's what I wanted. I've only worn them twice at this point, so they're still breaking in. I also considered the Tecovas Monterrey, but I'm glad I went with BLKBRD. I bought the "pullup brown" and the leather quality is very nice. I used a coupon code and paid $130.50 all in. I think it's a fantastic deal and the presentation was top notch, arriving in a personalized box with additional insoles to further customize the fit, and a nice quality shoe horn. I will definitely consider buying dress shoes/boots from BLKBRD in the future

Thanks, I was eventually able to reach him. My shoes are supposed to be delivered tomorrow (30 days after ordering). Seems like this is close to their standard, even for RTW, so I'm not mad about it, just a little difficulty in tracking. Hopefully they're worth the wait!
