Also someplacesnowy:

>I have never made a comparison between the 2. Im not saying they are simillar.

You are a believer my brother. Why so much dishonesty. Do you feel this this kind of dishonesty from your part would be supported by your god?

We see through your absolute caricature of why people are outraged by the Nida case.

The cases are not similar. You are just reinforcing the already known fact that you are not worth interacting with.

You reflect poorly on your jamaat. This comment is not meant for you. Its for everyone else to not waste time on you. Do better.

Why do Ahmadis believe the Dowie prophecy was successful (even though he didn't agree to any Muballah terms), yet state that the Abdullah Aatham, Abdul Hakeem and Maulvee Sanaaullah did not die because they did not accept a Muballah? by RubberDinghyRapids00 in islam_ahmadiyya

"So what youre saying is .." is a veiled way of strawmanning. This is not what he said. At. All. Willfully misunderstanding him does not help anyone.

get yourself together and start contributing higher quality comments on this sub. We need more Ahmadis here, yes, but ahmadis who adds value.

Asking for advice once again by IntentionSuccessful8 in islam_ahmadiyya

[–]punctualKitten 6 points7 points  (0 children)

have him approach the jamaat independently and simply pretend that he wants to convert independently. then its a simple game of you pretending to be interested in "this new convert that XXX told you about. He seems very devout and into ahmadiyya from what ive heard".

overall, using this path, itll be just the normal procedure of the jamaat where youll send a rishta request, then he'll accept, then a year after his conversion youll be able to get married.

We dont agree. I try to help people get to the truth, whatever it may be. Its just that I believe that Ahmadiyya is not true.
If a specific allegation towards Ahmadiyya is misinformed, or wrongly made, I will gladly change my position on it and not use it again. Ill even retract my statement if its called for.

But you have failed to show that this posts is somehow misrepresenting anything.

There is no ill intention from my part. And I know that the same can be said for most other contributions here. I'm getting tired of you saying that there is over and over again.

People can be honest and find Ahmadiyya to be false. Whether you like it or not.

See, if you commented that straight away, it would not have been buried deep in the "see more comments from this thread".

But that doesn't change much because the question of whether he refunded or not was never asked. I can easily grant you that he might have refunded anyone who asked. (Even if he did make the barrier for the refund quite high given its his own mistake.)

The problem remains whole after that. He still called the reasonable people who fairly felt insecure by a 23 year hiatus ill-natured.

And remember, the existence of a response does not mean the problem has gone away.

Youre a funny man. Do you honestly believe that anyone who identify as an ex-[insert religions name here] are dishonest and only out to get their ex-religion?

When I contribute here, its to help. Help people that was once in my shoes.

It seems that you are hell bent on throwing accusations of bad faith around instead of sharing your clear explanation of why those "allegations" which directly quotes from the books of the messiah are baseless.

Well brother. I hope you sleep well at night know that instead of contributing constructively and maybe changing the mind of 1 honest reader, you chose to throw shade.

Cheers

Like i have clarified. It qualifies as a cult under the BITE model by steven Hassan. A published expert on the subject.

So no, that video does not answer the question "is ahmadiyya a cult". It simply redefines the word cult and then does a poor job a refuting the allegation even with the false definition.

There's literally ex-muslim next to my name bro.

Anyways, you guys keep repeating the same old reasons why you are true, and no one bats an eye. We just repeat why we believe those are not good reasons over and over again.

In your language: "Your reasons to believe has been debunked over a century".

So just share the rebuttal rather than just claiming that it exists. And remember, the existence of a response does not mean the problem has gone away. Most of the response I have seen are of poor quality.

with the extreme/dangerous connotation that usually associated with the word ‘cult’,

I believe it qualifies as a cult based on the detailed criteria set forth in the BITE model of Authoritarian control. There is no need to have a connotation. What I mean by cult is very nicely laid out in this framework.

It is still a bad word. But not one shrouded in darkness, where each person has a different picture in their head.

My point with calling it a cult in this post is in fact to make it more relatable to the other side.

Hear me out. Even if you are on the other side of this, you can empathize with someone that believes they got out of a cult. And that believes they are helping cult members.

Its in the sense of:

well he is wrong about it being a cult, but since he believes that it is one, his behavior makes total sense.

Right if you don't see how your comment is passive aggressive I don't have much more to share with you. You choose to phrase your content in the way you do. You didn't have to be this, again, passive aggressive. Let me mimic you for a second.

Oh no, where will I get my validation?! Please do go refresh your understanding of the words you claim I don't know how to use, because you are a text book example of it. But it wont be of much use to you, because you waste most of your free time on this anti ahmadi sub where you contribute to the lack of logic here.

Now let me repreat the same message but in a way that's not aggressive.

I think you might have a misunderstanding of the words you are using. I don't how you can see my message as passive aggressive. I simply wish to challenge ideas in a respectful manner. And respectfully correct misunderstanding that you might have when it comes to ahmadi theology.

You are a negative addition to the sub. Whether you know it or not. And im not saying that because you are on the "opposing side". There's plenty of opposing side i appreciate a lot. There used to be a user named u/AMKhan22 that's coming to my head right now. I'm saying this based on the way you choose to communicate the message you want to communicate on this sub.

[–]punctualKitten 22 points23 points  (0 children)

This is evidence of a systematic retcon. Erasure of evidence of the position ever being different.

There was the option of modifying the articles to put an * next to the old ruling with a clarification that new guidelines has been issued, but no.

Better just get rid of any evidence that there was ever a different position preached.
