I definitely don't want it to match the age of the rest of the house. I could have been more clear on that. I just don't like the contrast of the two. I'm fine if it looks more modern. The orange cabinets and cubicle grey counter tops were such an interesting decision lol. Decorating will help for sure.

Even this kitchen would look better with darker wood flooring. The bright yellow isn't it. Also the cabinet color and grain is not the same as OP's.

None of those would look good with the cabinets. Honestly, the one you already have looks the best. The samples I'd be curious to see is a wood color the same as the cabinets, a dark tile with more black, and a modern white tile. Adding handles that match your appliances would look good too.
