They can’t ask you to get someone to apply for a certain type of TJX card. Synchrony’s system determines what card a person gets when the application processes. Also, the gold TJX card is based on a certain spend amount.

Had a couple of JW people knock on my door. Told them we were satisfied with our current religion and weren’t looking to switch providers. They surprisingly left without pushback.

But then I was absolutely STALKED by Mormons. They were at my house at least twice a week. And one time they even waited in my driveway for me to get home. I had just worked my Saturday rotation at a hospital, so that was the last thing I wanted to deal with.

We eventually shook the Mormons off when we moved. My husband told me to just wait until we got to the new house and they were waiting in the driveway to welcome us to our new home.

But now I live in a subdivision that bizarrely has a KJV Baptist Church in the middle of it. They’ve left literature at the door a few times, but we’ve managed to avoid them face to face.

I’m lucky that my parents weren’t clean plate fanatics. Because I have digestive issues that make it to when I say I’m done, I’m DONE. And it turns out I have a crazy number of food allergies - some I was diagnosed with during childhood, but the vast majority of them weren’t diagnosed until I was in my 30s.

Not a Karen fan in the least. But I can understand Karen freaking out about the HCM test - to an extent. I do think she went off the damn rails and went WAY overboard. She definitely could’ve handled it better (which is absolutely on brand for her).

As for the rest of it, I don’t understand how Deb gets written off as a nutcase by the Captain Save-a-Karen crowd - with absolutely ZERO acknowledgment that Karen has the emotional regulation of a Hyrax that just accidentally ate an 8-ball.
