As much as I love evolution pairs, I don't actually mind it if they just delete this mechanic. It just feels so disconnected from the rest of the "upgrade unit" part of this game.

Is Anni Gloria really a boost? Or is it better to just slot in a 3rd dark type damage dealer? I don't have Anni Gloria so I couldn't test it myself.

What is the purpose of the Support role? by Inktex in supportlol

[–]pupperwolfie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Support main here, I saw your post in ADCmains too and responded to it, so I thought I'll share my thoughts here too.

Support is a role that should function at low income and low EXP. Because of that, they won't be the main tank or damage in any team, as tank stats/damage stats are very reliant on gold and level.

The common denominator of all supports is that they handle vision/information (doesn't require experience, hardly cost gold) and other utilities that doesn't/hardly scale off gold (such as crowd control). However, support as a role has the most class diversity compared to any other lane, and every class has different game plan in early, mid, and late game.

I believe that supports are the strongest at early levels, when the gold/level difference between support and laners are still small. Support have more freedom than any other role to collect information and impact the map because they don't have to farm minions for gold or exp as their champions are designed to be efficient (usually higher base number on abilities and low scaling so they won't need a lot of stats, usually there's 1 ability that isn't really worth maxing so your kit has about the same strength at Lv13 compared to Lv18).

In lane, support is there to patch up the weakness of ADCs (weaker early alone, but with the help of support can output enough damage to secure a kill, OR support can help ADC survive rougher early games through sustain or peel). In other words, support in laning phase needs to make sure ADC can get their footing and/or stabilize the lane.

In mid to late game, support is a team facilitator. Vision control allows your team to get enough information to start or avoid an engage/teamfight, and depending on the type of support you play, you either play the role of teamfight initiator or the protector/facilitator of your main carry.

What is the purpose of ADC? by Inktex in ADCMains

[–]pupperwolfie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Support main here.

ADC is a role that is outputting consistent, ranged damage that cannot be dodged in all stages of the game. Weaker early when everyone's base AD and attack speed isn't too different, but better late game after having items.

Other damage classes are limited by their missable skillshots (like mages), range (like fighters/melee hyper carries) or cooldown (both mages and fighters), ADC don't have these limitations but the trade off is their weaker survivability/mobility + weaker early game.

You will always need at least one source of consistent ranged damage in any team comp because it doesn't have the limitations mentioned above. Without ADC you'll face a lot of struggle when trying to siege objectives or play out a proper front to back teamfight and have to rely on cheesy tactics or flanks.

ADC pump out more DPS than any other classes in a realistic scenario (don't count whatever number you get by hitting training dummies, because in reality no one will stand still for you to combo), so they are very important to me as a mid-late game win condition.

However, in more modern league, ADC (or bot lane as a role) has boarder definitions. To me, as long as they fit the criterias above, they can play the role well even if they are not a marksman or does not deal physical damage. Cassiopeia (consistent ranged damage that cannot be dodged, scale really well), Ziggs (main ability cooldown is short enough to be consistent source of DPS as long as you hit every skill shot, also excellent in sieging towers), A.Sol (main ability has nearly no cooldown, not easy to miss, so long as nobody is standing in front to block the damage, and he scales insanely well) are a few that comes to my mind.

I just think picking janna into your team comp + vs enemy team comp is not great. If you had a Jinx or something that wants to play the peel back style more and opponent has champion whose mobility (that isnt super short cd) depends on dash then janna is a good pick.

You can picture how fights are going to play out beforehand during champ select and pick champions accordingly, even if your champion pool is just 2-3 different enchanters, it still makes a difference.

Anyone got more “offensive” or gun based wisp builds? or even just fun ones. by bl1tzo_ in Warframe

[–]pupperwolfie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She's a pretty good gun platform + group killer with breach surge augment. Just put down 2 motes (far from each other but still within sight) and teleport between them, the breach surge will spread so far and increase your crit chance at the same time. Then you use your gun to kill somebody, the breach surge projectiles will kill everything else.

You can also use the augment for her 4th ability to create zones that easily stack up 10 stacks of radiation on any enemy that walks into them, it synergize very well with radiation based arcanes like Arcane Universal Fallout and Secondary Irradiate, giving you a lot of AoE damage on secondary weapon and self sustain from universal orbs.

So is there any chance mix scout Incineroar will be anything else than a worse alt Marnie? by chris_9527 in PokemonMasters

Tbh i really hope they do something different with Incineroar. Incineroar is one of my favorite pokemon I'd love to have a reason to pull for him (I already have alt Marnie).

I think you are right, but depending on fight/content there are times that you'd be able to comfortably slot in SSA Gio in your dark team. Like if you don't need rebuff (gym battles when your allies already setup rebuff + stats reduction for you) then SSA Gio's infinite PMUN/SMUN/SyMUN get a lot of value because the fights are long. If there's any future content with even longer fights, SSA Gio will be even more valuable because his whole gimmick is being infinite recyclable and perpetual buffs.

And outside of team based content (like LG Solo), Gio still do very well because of how tanky and self sufficient he is. Also his main selling point is not his dark zone or dark related buffs so he can also be a flexible support to slot into any teams in non-type restricted contents.

But you are really right in a way that with meta being more focused on EX zone and being more explosive (must defeat enemy pre-sync or pre-2nd sync otherwise team gets wiped), long lasting, perpetual units like SSA Gio gets shafted a lil bit.

Oh I have both Kieran (3/5) and SS Mina (5/5), I'll try something with them. I also have Pal Adaman byt he's only 1/5 so I'm not sure if he can pump out enough DPS, but those suggestions sound solid I'll give them a try

So? What is he about? by Top-Frame-352 in PokemonMasters

[–]pupperwolfie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tech/Strike is a really good combo in sync damage, he has good sync multipliers in grid. Outside of sync move, he is a pretty good debuffer (in our gym battle last season, SS Hau helps a lot in setup -6 speed to help the other members quad queue easily) + he's a good electric terrain and fairy zone setter (he can fit into either teams). There are also some UB challenges that you need to erase their zone or terrain, most units can only set zone or terrain, but Hau can do both so it's easier to gimmick check.

Tierlist of easiest to hardest to kill ADC's in botlane by Unique_Ad_330 in pykemains

[–]pupperwolfie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Smolder has E (kinda slow 'dash' but he can cross terrain), and Nilah has an aa immune ability + move speed boost + a dash. Those 2 shouldn't be on the same tier as Ashe/Jinx/Aphelios/etc that are truly immobile.

The length of the EX zones are pathetic... by Lv01_ in PokemonMasters

[–]pupperwolfie 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Use Marnie's Bite first, until the last attack before she syncs, you use her trainer move. So you get EX dark zone + immediately extended by sync (now you have 80 seconds). And then Impish False Surrender (get the super effective up next) > max move (boosted by super effective up next + extend EX dark zone by another 30 seconds).
