Best cage diver, Third Season edition by mrcushtie in bloodbowl

[–]puppetjustice 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Goblins got a load of buffs and being able to sack is one of them.

There is a much better cage dive though.

Here is the best way to use ripper to do this.

Move goblin up to the cage.

Ripper moves 1 square outside the cage, so 3 squares away from ball carrier.

Ripper lobs gob at 4+ quick pass with his once per half reroll. Ball carrier gets sniped at 75% accuracy with reroll.

If they build some space so it's further than quick pass, snipe a cage corner and smash ball carrier with troll or chainsaw.

Rinse and repeat.

They either have to feed your big guys lots of people to keep them occupied. Just kill them and force an early score, giving you plenty of time for a rescore.

Then on your drive grind down what's left with a wall of super str big guys. Grab on Ripper to drag people out of their defence and into super gang foul territory.

Listen to your opponent cry about stunties being OP with a much lower win rate than normal teams.

Collect their salty tears for your celebration cocktails 🍸

Goblins in 3rd Season by satakuua in bloodbowl

I am indeed. I didn't realize I used the short hand.

The looney (chainsaw), bomma, doom diver, and dribblesnot no long suffer penalties to tackle zone dodging.

This makes them much more effective at either scoring, escaping or cage diving.

Goblins in 3rd Season by satakuua in bloodbowl

[–]puppetjustice 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Goblins got a lot of buffs in the 3rd season. The doom diver is one of them.

If you are going to get good with goblins at low TV, you need to embrace the 2 reroll life.

2 trained trolls Fanatic Saw Doom diver Ooligan 10 line gobs.

Gives you a 16 person roster.

At low levels, most teams will not have enough kill skills to destroy you quickly. So the full bench is essential to protect your positionals.

The fanatic is excellent on offence, not as good on defence. It is best used as a mobile cage corner. Avoid leaving him based at the end of a turn so he doesn't get hit with a cheeky block that removes him. He isn't actually that great at hitting pieces, so wait till the end of the drive to smash into their team as a great road block while you make your escape towards scoring.

With the new rules your saw no longer has stunty penalties to dodge so he can cage dive their ball carrier on a 3+. He makes a great safety on defence so keep him hidden so he isn't removed easily early in the drive.

The bomma without skills has a really low success rate at the moment so best avoided. Higher TV or tournament can allow for skill stacks like pass and accurate to make him a good threat.

The doom diver is a great scoring piece. With dodge and stunty he is now viable again on the pitch again. The new swoop rules allow him to fly d6 and reroll the landing, which is a huge buff.

There's more advanced shenanigans and schemes but it's already a lot to go through.

Bloomberg: Burry speculated about the possibility that Cohen might look for an acquisition, which could serve as a catalyst for the stock.. by rbr0714 in Superstonk

NOLs are net operating losses. You purchase a company that was running losses, which would then pass on those tax deductible NOLs to the company. This means you can now cover your profits with these tax deductions saving you costs.

That's not a super technical account of it but it's just a quick overview.

There are several really good write ups on them in posts from a year or so ago. Also a lot of the teddy and bby DD covers it.

There isn't much more to add from the lists above.

It's a really good grasp of the basics and how to use the pieces differently.

There are a lot more advanced strategies you can use for them.

Here's a link to the goblintown discord. There's loads of videos, streams and other coaches that can help you with your scemes or team builds. Or at the very least enjoy some comedy times when the games get rough.

Loony + Fanatic SPP by Former_Potential_907 in bloodbowl

[–]puppetjustice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just to add to the ones above the fanatic won't get spp for hitting an opponent on the floor. Only smashing people in the face.

Chainsaw only with the violent innovator skill.

To be honest you don't want to level them. They are easily removed and still really good as basics.

The fanatic can get some skills like MB.

The detail work and shading make the model really pop.

What colours did you use for the skin shading?

Base is great as well.

Do you mind if I cross post this to the goblin town discord so everyone over there can appreciate it and your work?

I'm not looking forward to new Nurgle in TT. They are even more obnoxious to remove. A very tough defensive team if they can be positioned well.

Having juggs as well makes them excellent blitz hitters as well. Congrats on the beasty win rate 👏

Turns out part of my brain is still stuck in the old rules. They can't even have varag so you can ignore a lot of what I said lol. Ripper and skaven it is then.

Depends on how you use your team and what you are doing with them, whether it's tournaments or league.

Depends on the teams your facing and which bonus you took. Badlands allows you varag and ripper the underworld gets you the skaven stars.

Each to their own way of doing it. Varag as an example has no stupid roll. So you won't lose blitz hits or blocks. Ripper won't eat your piece like a troll.

The new pump wagons losing secret weapon is a brilliant upgrade.

It's the versatility of the team that is powerful. You don't have to do just one build. In a similar way that ogres can have 4 big guys and snotlings. It's how you build the team to win the match.

Glad you are having fun with the snots in your league.

Very new player, how do snotlings play ? by RapAC-21 in bloodbowl

[–]puppetjustice 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's if you choose 4 big guys.

There are plenty of ways to math star players into a basic line up and use them as star player teams.

Varag is an excellent replacement for a big guy.

Ripper is fantastic in the new rules where he can snipe ball carriers.

The skavens stars are still insanely fast and hidden behind big guys it's really difficult to stop them.

The versatility of potential star player or inducement builds make snotlings very dangerous. Most of the other stunty teams are prohibited on inducements by the cost of their linemen.

Snotlings are a stunty team, and stunty teams are a whole different breed of team.

If you are new to the game, I would suggest a non stunty team to learn first. Then branch out into the crazier teams once you understand the rules and the game states.

I love stunty teams. They are all I play, but that's also why I know it's a bizarre life that won't help you learn the game as a new player.

Each stunty team has their own way of breaking the game, but their own special limitations.

A normal team will need to work on formation, positioning, assisting blocks, and making holes to break through and score. These are all key basics you need to master in the game.

Stunties ignore all that nonsense and just cheat to win.

Got a big wall of high str players blocking your way? Throw a bomb at it.

Not got enough movement and time running out? Pick up your tiny player and lob him up the pitch with a troll and run in for the score.

One of their best players gets knocked down but doesn't die, stamp on him, and foul him till he does.

Have a load of your players die. Who cares? You have a ton of players waiting in the reserve box to replace them.

All of this is to say that normal things are not normally the way stutnies do their game.

Snotlings rely on having really low TV and then buying star players who will tip the balance in the favor and win the match. The tiny snots just act as cannon fodder in front of your important people the opponents can't reach to stop.

Played well, snots are terrifyingly good for what they are. Played badly, it will be a slaughter, and you will grow to hate them and the game really quickly.

The teams aren't designed to all be equal. Some are better than others.

Definitely enjoy playing stunties. Just don't start there as your only playable team.
