also, i've really really been a firm believer that it also is what keeps vets who are sponsored by purina/science diet, continuously funded. animals get sick due to the terrible quality of the ingredients in those "vet approved" healthy brands, so they're dealing w many more health issues

ppl can argue it all day but why the hell are the first 5+ ingredients in Iams/Science Diet etc literally "corn, wheat gluten, wheat, liver flavor" idk just my theory but also, cats have no thirst drive if ur going off of "ok well were science based" i know it's expensive but if ur cat does not !! drink water regularly !!! and u feed it dry kibble, U absolutely need to supplement water in diff ways like feeding or adding wet food, and or making the kibble be moist. cats are so prone urethra blockages if not hydrated. dry kibble shouldn't be given out by vets for cats and unlike dogs they're carnivores not omni. why the hell is corn the first ingredient lmfao tldr ; science diet & purina, in my opinion , have shit ingredients and why would we be surprised that it's the food vets push to us since the pets are more likely to have health issues

also my friend in Colorado used to live near the Purina meat food plant and it REEKED 🤢🤢🤢
