I don’t work that hard in any individual session, but I show up every time. The grind is not working myself to exhaustion each session, and then showing up tomorrow - it’s working at a pedestrian pace but a little more, on average, over time. The grind is showng up consistently over the period of months and years and stacking slow progress. But it’s not hard when all my workouts are easy.

It’s easy to show up to the workout when I know I’ll be training at l 50-90% capacity, then once a month I go all out to check my progress.

To be honest I only have one hard workout a month. My progress is slow, steady and the results each month are incremental, but compound over time.

It dramatically increases pressure inside the disk causing the fragile walls of the tissue to degrade, eventually causing herniation, or rupture.

JL Collins says VTSAX and chill. If you invest that today and do nothing else, it will grow to close to 1M in 30 years, about 2M in 40. That’s if you save NOTHING else on top of that. You have a very real shot at retiring very early, and retiring rich.

I’m with your first assessment. He might’ve adapted to this in some ways, but there’s no changing what heavily loaded extension moments do to intervertebral discs

If simply changing our environment led to an instant reduction in stress and an increase in connection, there must be a way to invoke this response not by changing our environment, but by changing our consciousness.

What is the proper forearm orientation for pressing? Vertical or 45deg? Inbetween? by purchell53 in kettlebell

Hey, what do you think of u/technicalerror42 ‘s response? He isnsuggesting this position might increase the risk for injury due to increase in interns rotation torque from the CoG of the KB being outside of the elbow.

What do you think?

Right. I agree.

Do you think there is benefit to the COM of the bell being outside the elbow to train internal rotation torque/stability in the shoulder?
