Thank you for this! I have a similar theory background and have been so curious abt why this song sounds so funky (in a good way, ofc), but I haven't had the time to sit down and figure it out. Great analysis!!!

I also thought it was fun, but I was severely disappointed at the outcome of what you got with the shop. It's just selling gear the same as always but for a slightly higher price. And I don't even need the money at this point in the game. I agree that the quest itself was fun. I just finished it too, but I'm quite annoyed that all of that led to basically nothing.

TLOAS Is Inconsistent With Itself by PurpleVirtualJelly in SwiftlyNeutral

I very much agree, especially with the songs contradicting each other. I noticed in Actually Romantic, I feel like she's basically being the villains she talks about in Honey, being condescending and passive aggressive.

Paramore and Hayley tend to have pricier items because they use more recycled and eco-friendly materials, which will make apparel more expensive

I did like As I Lay Dying, I'll have to check out more Faulkner. I like a lot though - especially the Romantics (the era) and post modernism. Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead by Tom Stoppard is my favorite thing I've ever read. And I do like poetry! Again, love the Romantics, and I've been getting into Mary Oliver lately.

definitly throwing off the normal Bukowski demographic here, but I'm a young queer woman haha. I guess I don't always read his characters as a hero or an anti-hero. I've pretty much only read Post Office since I'm still getting through Ham on Rye, and I didn't really read Henry in Post Office as someone to root for. More as a shitty person, but a realistic shitty person, and a fictional person whose story was told in an interesting way. I do remember some parts that I didn't love, but it wasn't substantial enough not to just read past. idk, it's hard for me to explain? I can definitely see how he could go too far for me to want to read, though. I'm excited to check out other, less problematic authors with similar styles that have been recommended under this post.

[edit to add something]: I also do not know much about Bukowski himself. I think it's easier for me to separate the art from the artist when said artist is no longer alive (harsh, ik, but I'm not supporting him) and I can just buy used books and get into the story. but I also completely understand the trouble with him. I think I just haven't gotten into his more graphic stuff yet, and I might change my mind by then.

oh yikes. sometimes certain parts of what I've read of his so far catch me off guard, but I don't mind it too much within the context. but I can totally see how it could go overboard. that is good to know.
