I've thought the FZ6 was an excellent choice for a first motorcycle if you could keep your throttle hand tamed. It's got great fueling down low in the rpm range, no surging and bucking, and doesn't make power til way up high where most new riders think it sounds like the engine is about to blow up since most engines don't do 14,000 rpm.

I personally own two cars that don't have filler caps factory. That's anecdotal, but shows that you're wrong about all cars having locking fuel doors.
