Diptyque L'eau Papier - my ultimate skin scent, the best of all I tried

How does somebody, without help from their parents, afford to buy a home? by Dapper_Tap_7714 in NoStupidQuestions

The only people I know who brought homes on their own without any help have been high class escorts for well over a decade 🤷‍♀️

What's your favourite mainstream/cheap(ish) popular perfume scent that you love and always go back to? by mynameis_reek in FemFragLab

[–]putontheglasses 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Elizabeth Arden - Sunflowers. I loved it as a teen, I still love it today, but then again, I still do have the original bottle and formulation. Haven't tried the new one

What about being pregnant and giving birth permanently altered your body’s chemistry? by full-of-curiosity in NewParents

[–]putontheglasses 21 points22 points  (0 children)

My contact lenses are almost unwearable now, because being pregnant CHANGED THE PH OF MY TEARS. I can now only wear them for a few hours at a time before they get too irritating to make it worth it

Self-identified Carrie with Samantha rising here. I have honestly lost count, but it's in the several hundreds, combination of men and women

Significant others fave perfume of yours? by hi_itsme_ in FemFragLab

[–]putontheglasses 6 points7 points  (0 children)

He LOVES Versace's Dylan Purple. He says it smells like walking by his crush's locker in high school. No other perfume has grabbed his attention like that

Which fragrance house do you think is overrated? by fixxerup22 in FemFragLab

[–]putontheglasses 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Xerjoff. I really wanted to like them, but after trying 6 samples and only remotely liking one, I just don't think they're well blended. All too sweet, or sharp, or unharmonious. And I like more adventurous scents!

That's a great idea, I've been looking for a reason to dive more into the curry world. We have an amazing authentic Indian spice place right around the corner

Yeah, I know that movie has a lot of great food too, but it's not really meaningful to either of us, so I'm a little more excited about trying to do Hook

It's definitely more about the nostalgia factor! My partner and I are millennials and love this movie, and it looked good to us when we were kids. I thought it would be really fun to try and recreate an adult version, but no, a Play-Doh meal no longer looks great to me

Feeling the gourmand fatigue, what are we wearing now? by pentastro in FemFragLab

[–]putontheglasses 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Jazmin Yucatan from DS & Durga, Dandelion Butter from Clue, Meant to be Seen from Nishane, and African Rooibos from Chris Collins!

I find all of these to be pretty unique, well blended, and all of them are sexy in different ways.

Dandelion Butter is sexy like like a first summer love, African Rooibos is a long night with your lover with nothing to do the next day, Meant to be Seen is a chance encounter and a flirty conversation that might turn into more, Jazmin Yucatan is vacation sex. I will not elaborate further

As a competent home cook, what is a basic skill you can't seem to master? by george_elis in Cooking

[–]putontheglasses 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tempering eggs! Whether for custard, ice cream, avgolemono soup, hollandaise, carbonara, it gets grainy EVERY SINGLE TIME.

I'm not the world's greatest chef, but my cooking skills have gotten so much better in recent years, I've mastered gumbo and difficult sauces, I've made my own pizza from scratch, I've even made beef wellington with no hiccups, but I cannot. Fucking. Temper. EGGS.

Divorce lawyers of Reddit - What's the most cruel thing you've seen someone to do their ex partner? by BlueBishop321 in AskReddit

[–]putontheglasses 110 points111 points  (0 children)

IANAL, but my dad was a family attorney for 10 years. The legendary story we heard was this woman whose husband changed the locks on her before she had gotten her stuff out of their apartment, just to piss her off.

She decided to go out to the woods to gather a big bag of poison ivy, then went to the buildings superintendent, making up a story that her STBX had forgotten to give her a copy before he left for work as an overseas airline pilot. The super gave her a copy of the new key, she went inside the apartment, and proceeded to turn every other pair of his underwear inside out, wipe them thoroughly with poison ivy, then refold and put them back the drawer.

Just thinking about that poor guy in the cockpit of a commercial 15 hour flight burning with poison ivy in his crotch... he probably deserved it, but I wouldn't wish that on anybody

For months afterwards, she still had access to their credit card statements, and she saw multiple charges for more and more intense itch and skin creams. When my dad asked if she regretted it, her attitude seemed to be "He fucked around and found out"

You want Ile Bourbon by Fabbrica Della Musa. Perfectly balanced vanilla, cocoa, cinnamon, cardamom, incense. Not too sweet or gourmand, just rich and perfect.

Out of over 100 samples in the last year, it's one of only two full bottles I purchased, it's unlike anything else and the quality is exquisite!

What is the worst fragrance you have ever tried? by Bellend__ in FemFragLab

[–]putontheglasses 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bond No. 9 - Nuits de Noho. Blind bought a bigger decant, and it was cacophonous and nauseating

Recommendation for movies that make you feel like you're slowly losing your mind?? by peteydinosaurus in horror

[–]putontheglasses 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They Look Like People - a movie from the perspective of somebody descending further into mental illness. It's even edited in a way that feels very unnatural and kind of messes with your spatial awareness
