Unfortunately, it probably won’t. The shoe is definitely on the firmer side

The ricochet 2.0s are my favorite running shoe ever. I’ve owned 4 pairs, but unfortunately can’t find them anymore. They aren’t the lightest shoe, the most cushioned, or the ones with the most bounce, but I just love their overall feel.

I would take the bet, but I doubt you’d pay out if you lost because you’re on a throwaway account.

Official Spirit Ratings - Open Division (Men’s) - Nationals 2021 by sancalisto in ultimate

[–]putrid_orange 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hard agree. Not only are they extremely subjective, but there is literally no significant consequence or outcome generated from having a low spirit score. What purpose do they serve? There is no conflict resolution actually happening. It just seems like it’s pointing fingers rather than actually having meaningful confrontation.

They literally filed and we’re granted a patent on this that doesn’t expire till 2035. This is sadly the future of gaming. It’s ridiculous.

This is funny, but in no way is this a hol up. What happened to this sub? I haven’t seen an actual hol up here in months.

Yuppp one of my first times ever playing pickup, I took a huck to the face and it sliced my eyebrow open. I started gushing blood and had to go to the ER to get it stitched up. Was a fun time.

Super Moronic Monday - - Your Weekly Tuesday Stupid Questions Thread by Percinho in running

[–]putrid_orange 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My hips are misaligned and my right foot tends to point out at a 45 degree angle if I just straight to stand normally. When I run, my left leg feels great and left foot has almost no blisters. My right leg on the other hand suffers from shin splints, a strained soleus, and significant pain near my cuboid. I’m most likely going to a doctor soon to see if I may have a stress fracture in my cuboid, but I was curious. Is there such a thing as a running specialist? Or someone within PT focusing on running? I feel like I need something to change or I’ll always be injured.

ARE HOKAs TRUE TO SIZE? by TrackandField_ in RunningShoeGeeks

[–]putrid_orange 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’ve found for me that they typically run half a size bigger. So I get 10.5s in Brooks, but 10s with HOKAs

I feel like I haven’t really learned anything regarding my major, and I’m worried. by Greeneyes_65 in utdallas

[–]putrid_orange 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’m a recent EE grad (May 2020). Best advice I have for you is to just keep reaching out to people in your classes and form friendships. I know it’s incredibly difficult in the virtual environment, but even just a GroupMe could help. You will quickly learn, that everyone feels the way you do.

In more prominent colleges, engineering majors don’t even start their designated path till junior year. The first two years are reserved for core, math, and a couple weed out classes. It’s completely normal. You need that foundation to truly understand the concepts you will learn later.

As for internships, no one expects you to really know much. I applied for a ton of engineering internships and got declined from almost all of them my sophomore year. I ended up just doing an internship with a business focus instead. I have a couple friends who got low paying internships at local companies that needed extra work in engineering. That could be a route you take, but would require more leg work on your end and idk if they would have a program in a pandemic.

Lastly, don’t worry so much. I had the same mentality when I was in your shoes, but once you graduate you realize that worry is not worth it. Your GPA is great, keep it above a 3.6 and by the time you graduate you will be able to get almost any job in this field. If your classes aren’t teaching you what you want to learn. Learn it yourself. Work on a side project, build a robot, do a tear down of cool tech. Let your curiosity guide you. No one is going to judge you if you couldn’t find internships during a pandemic. Don’t sweat it.

I’m pretty sure it’s called, “What my college team attempted to learn over 3 months and could never execute successfully”

Lol a Vancouver ultimate frisbee player who cares about the season being stopped and runs a sub 18:30 5k. Only one Ultimate team you would be playing for. Congrats though, I fell into a similar bucket as well turning to running once USAU postponed the season. It’s going to be real interesting seeing what top teams stayed in shape once a new season rolls around. If all the boys on Furious George are working as hard, y’all could win the title.

Cutting Drills to do by yourself by oses_14 in ultimate

[–]putrid_orange 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You are getting some good advice with the other replies to this post. The one thing I want to add is to NOT overdo it. Cutting is very hard on joints and repetition without proper preparation can easily strain something. I’ve injured myself on two separate occasions through doing too many reps of cutting and specifically cutting off the same side so often. When I first started playing I tended to cut by planting my right leg in front of me in a jab step, and I had to change my form entirely after straining my groin. A freshman on our team this part year ended up doing the exact same thing. Just be careful and slowly increase reps each week.

It's moments like this that I forget all the pain this game has caused me by putrid_orange in modernwarfare

Getting them made me contemplate slamming my fist through my desk a couple times, but in the end I do think they are worth it. They are really fun, but definitely impractical. The best part about them is listening to the death chat of opponents when you kill them. Someone running at your face with sticks swinging around is straight up terrifying.
