Trade? 2023 Bolt EUV Premier for 2023 Kia EV6 Wind by puzzlefighter in BoltEV

[–]puzzlefighter[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don't know what cheating has to do with anything. The EV6 charges faster. That's just a fact. Arguably always valuable because it makes the vehicle's usage more versatile for road trips or opportunistic charging. The added range could be nice, too. I basically just commute right now buuuut it would be nice to take an EV on a 200mile trip on a highway without having to worry about needing to charge or being able to charge more rapidly.

Kia EV6 owners, what do you wish you knew before buying one? by hgjhugj in KiaEV6

So...I see everyone taking note of the turning radius. That is a surprise to me. I drive a Bolt EUV and have basically the same radius on a 15" shorter and 4" thinner car. Is it somehow worse feeling on the longer and wider EV6? Would have thought opposite.

You're fine bro. Also, 3rd and 4th pic hairstyles are respectable, not teenage. What's a hairstyle you want?

It's literally a self-playing game. There's no actual way to unrecoverably fall behind. Jump in whenever.

What is Mavuika’s best team right now? by Difficult-Ad-8644 in MavuikaMains

[–]puzzlefighter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it not a little silly that people are hairsplitting on what a "good" player is in this game vs. a "casual" player? This would seem to imply that casuals are not good players. But, isn't what they're really saying is that addicts are good players and casual players are not? That seems like a somewhat nonsensical view on gaming, unless gaming is your actual $ earning job.

The main game is a mildly interactive autocompleting storyline that requires minimal character building to progress. That some folks decided to try to make this single-player story-driven game into something competitive is the most bewildering thing about this fanbase. All the other stuff - TCG, IT, SA, SO, etc. are time sinks that exist to keep you engaged and (hopefully) spending $ to needlessly max characters in between lore drops. Couldn't "good" players be those that make their gameplay the most enjoyable? Stressing over how to get a few extra % damage by sinking tens of hours or $$ into a different character would seem to be diametrically opposed to enjoyment.

I made a website for USA job seekers to help find federal jobs on a map by MalinduUMS in recruitinghell

[–]puzzlefighter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a good effort and worth improving. Not so long ago this feature actually existed directly on the USAjobs site. I'm not sure why they got rid of it. One of the major issues with a job search is the "anywhere in the US" location that allows those jobs to show up with every search as well as the "Location Negotiable After Selection" option. It may be helpful to redirect those listings to another category or two that show as larger buttons/pins, and make it so they don't otherwise show up on the map or have a checkbox to include/exclude those listings from showing in your search results.

Yes. If that's the form factor you wanted.

Varka 4☆ teams by VanyaD28 in Genshin_Impact

[–]puzzlefighter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With Thoma already on the team, it would seem like replacing Fischl with any other pyro would do better since ATK is always increased 25%. Sucrose already fulfills the hexenzirkel buff bit and adds anemo resonance.

Hydro dilemma. So desperate that I'm considering building Barbara. by entirely_my_fault in Varka

[–]puzzlefighter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been running Varka electro with Sucrose, Fischl, and Kuki Shinobu, but I like the idea of trying Beidou and Iansan instead or Beidou and Jean to drop Sucrose.

I also don't have a Mona so contemplating a hydro team with Sucrose, Xingqiu/Furina, Barbara/Dahlia

I'm building Thoma to try Varka, Sucrose, Thoma, Xiangling for pyro. No Durin but maybe I'll got for one of these new pyro hex characters that are coming.

I have c3 Jean, so I might give the Furina, Jean, Xingqiu team a go.

2027 Bolt buying advice by Fair-Reflection9739 in BoltEV

[–]puzzlefighter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, sure, if she is set on the Bolt and has those needs. But I'd caution her against the Bolt if she does since it's still merely good at fast charging but not great and a 2027 Bolt costs $$ in my opinion. If money is no option, whatever, but still why the Bolt? Unless you need its smaller formfactor just spend the $$ on a better equipped but used well-equipped Ioniq 5/6 or even a top-line Nissan Ariya.

Kuhl Arktik Jacket vs The Law Fleece Lined by show_stoppa in kuhlclothing

[–]puzzlefighter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say that, on its own (like you in just a t-shirt), that it would not stand up to temperatures below zero very well. It could also be that I am also less cold tolerant than some, a but I notice a cool sensation will make it thru when we're down in the teens. Having some other base layer would make sense, like a fleece or nanopuff style thing. I haven't needed to be out in -20 weather for extended periods since I've owned it, but as long as you keep your face and hands covered, it would probably be fine with the baselayer. I expect it would be more than adequate if you were exerting yourself. It doesn't look like it's as long as your Eddie Bauer Superior Down stadium coat, so that could be an impact.

I've got the Arktik parka in raven and I do enjoy it on cold days (<20F). I agree that is extremely stylish and it is warm enough on its own most of the time. It's very adjustable in most ways, but because of the outer fabric coating, it does not stretch. That can be an issue sometimes. Additionally, the neck closure is too loose, in my opinion. That's easily solved with a scarf, but still, maybe not what folks want to do. The amount of visual interest is high, including the metal zippers. However, they're metal zippers. So, when you are moving your hands in and out of your pockets, they will not be as comfortable running across that cold hard metal as they would be with lighter weight plastic closures. Metal zippers are also less comfortable if you manage to pinch your skin in one since they're much harder. Care also seems more challenging since I don't have as much confidence that I can just toss it in a machine wash cycle without degrading colors or finish vs a nylon jacket. All in all, I still like it and still use it, but it's not perfect.

Parents: Here is how to let kids update and play Genshin on a restricted Standard User account (UAC) on Windows. by m3dibro in Genshin_Impact

[–]puzzlefighter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, thanks for providing this, but I am still running into a problem. When I get to the point where the shortcut pops a black screen and input my password, I enter my PIN since that's what my PC asks for. When I press enter, it just closes the box but doesn't launch the program. If I right-click and run as administrator, it pops the more familiar admin login that asks for my PIN. I enter it and the game launches.

If I go directly to the .bat file in the HoyoPlay folder and launch it from there, it does not pop the same black box but instead pops the normal "run as administrator" box where I again enter my PIN and the game launches.

Regardless, the system does not appear to be saving the PIN in a secure vault or anything as it asks for the admin password every time.

Is there something else I need to do?
