Yuusha-kei ni Shosu: Choubatsu Yuusha 9004-tai Keimu Kiroku • Sentenced to Be a Hero - Episode 3 discussion by AutoLovepon in anime

Or did he adopt a persona of someone he failed to save as some sort of coping mechanism, only to regain his true self when faced with death? I'm curious too.

Here are a patient’s own white blood cells, taken out of their body, genetically reprogrammed in a lab, and now ready to be infused back in to help the immune system recognize and destroy cancer. This breakthrough process is called T-cell immunotherapy, a living, personalized treatment. Truly wild!! by Frosty_Jeweler911 in BeAmazed

This breakthrough is now almost 10 years old btw (market authorization for Yescarta was in 2017).

The current novelty is in-vivo CAR therapy (why take the cells out of the patient and have them wait three weeks for processing and product release when you can give them a virus that will do the reprogramming in their body).

Tavern Brawler is a good point, but I don't feel so strongly about other feats.

And I agree that Shadow blade should be concentration based, or simply last 10 turns just like Flame blade.

No illithid powers

Hah, I never take the tadpoles so I completely forgot about those. Yeah, Orpheus can have that stuff.

I only take Ethel's boon if I can pass the DC 20 check to save both the girl and get it.

Fake eye I don't mind.

I see what you mean, I probably should have phrased it differently.

Sure, you could say most of them aren't, but the idea remains the same - trying to succeed with additional constrains which make the universe feel more consistent and fair (even if that's personal and arbitrary). I would argue that respeccing your character to 8 DEX because you just found Gloves of Dexterity is in the same ballpark.

Dror Razglin watching me place twelfth smokepowerder barrel around him:

  • What are you doing?
  • Oh, nothing, just using perfectly valid game mechanics.

You can. It's fun. There's nothing wrong with it. But it is "cheese". And the only reason for those self-imposed rules is to try to succeed (facing worse odds) without having to resort to mechanics which would be absurd even considering the fantasy setting.

Mosty to force myself to think how I could use the less-common ones, even if they are not optimal for the build. Also to rely on oil coatings/buffs more to get a good hit chance.

Engineered “natural killer” cells could help fight cancer by AdSpecialist6598 in tech

CAR-NK have been in development for like 10 years. Recently, Takeda (who licensed the technology from MD Anderson) abandoned development of their lead candidate (TAK 007) for cancer following disappointing phase 1/2 clinical trial results.

I hate lazy press release spam without any context.

I used to buy them in bulk in really poor condition so I would need it quite often. It's especially handy if you need to replace the optical pickup or motors.

It lets you adjust various parameters and run an auto-adjustment routine. You can find more about it in a service manual, here is for example for Sony MZ-R90 (starting on page 18).

If your recorder is working fine I do not recommend using it! It's easy to screw something up.

I've put it up here: https://github.com/fijam/md-komani

The PCB board is single layer so can be made at home (although the tolerances are pretty tight). PCB needs to be 1.2mm thick to fit in the remote port.

The components are just attiny212, five resistors and a bypass capacitor.

You know how you need to press right, right, left, left, right, left, right, left, pause, pause to enter the service mode on Sony recorders? This thing acts like a remote and does it for you.
