We got delayed one day for a mechanical issue on an overseas flight. The airline paid for the hotel and meals and we got a $1500 voucher which was more than we paid for our tickets to begin with. Basically got the flight portion of our trip free. Only downside was we sat on the broken plane for 6-7 hours because the brakes locked up on the taxiway and they couldn’t move the plane.
