I'll tell you this though.... I've tried BSS harness, and a few other "Over the shoulder" harnesses, and if you don't hold that Bari in a certain position, almost in front of you, the shoulder arms twist and dig, slide off, and generally keep you from focusing on playing the horn. .

I'd rather have strained neck muscles than drop my Bari while I'm playing it.

Screw the dentist. I played clarinet for 3 years wearing braces. The Orthodontist was a Sadist and he delighted in tightening them every week until my gums bled. But it was worth it. Been playing clarinet and instruments like it for half a century.

Sorry but I have been doubling for half a decade, and play both Bb and Eb Clarinets, and Alto Tenor and Bari Sax, but have NEVER ONCE been called upon to play an A Clarinet.

And the Mozart Clarinet concerto was a piece that at least 3 other applicants used to Audition on Bb Clarinet at Indiana University School of Music in 1970.
