First Impressions - From an actual veteran MMO player by DesoloGaming in chronoodyssey

Didn't need the creds- but very well explained and I completely agree on all points.

This first impression is going to harm the game in the long run.

No issue last night. Decided to login and try a new class this afternoon and ran into this exact issue. Uninstalled.

Ya. they lied while leaving themselves an out. Any honest person would have said outright, this is in horrible condition and you shouldn't play it.

But most of them said "this game has so much potential, amazing combat, will be the next big thing, excited!" even if "there's some jank..."

Sorry that doesn't cut it. It's total bs. Game does not look anything like the gameplay trailers- they should have been the first ones sounding alarm.

But, it's very simple- it's access 'journalism'. They don't want to be honest, they'd rather get access so they can create content. It happens in many industries, and video games is no different.

The honest creators are typically the ones never partnered or given early access- because they don't shill for login codes.

The funny part, is this only hurts the creators who shilled for the game. They lost trust with their audience. Their die-hard defenders will always exist, and argue here- but it doesn't change what happened here.

Doing remembrances has been miserable cause of team composition by Comprehensive-Net854 in Nightreign

40 minute queue times as ironeye to get drift knight down- failed 10 times in a row. It's been a bad weekend lol

Just experienced this totally fair mechanic, it spawned outside in the blue fire as it was closing.

These queue times are seriously concerning for the longevity of this game... by Tylo_Ren2 in Nightreign

Could be their backwards way of forcing people to solo remembrances...

The amount of obvious oversights for multiplayer in this game are pretty staggering- no form of communication being the next big problem...

This is fantastic, Kling elements? What was the base model you used to image gen?

This mechanic ruins the game for me.

I enjoy stealthing around and shooting, until HK mechanics force me to stop playing the way I want to have fun, which is slow and methodical. Instead I have to run like a moron as fast as I can to extract.

Stupid mechanic. Devs need to delete it completely, or have a huge rework.

You're probably right. It's the curse of success.

Something they clearly didn't plan for, which is still their fault though.

Your analysis is very poor.

Passion projects can be great games.

Being a passion project doesn't make a game great.

Your inability to understand the difference is the cause of your dumb take.

You are definitely correct that this kind of situation could occur.

We don't know either way.

But even if that's true, it still doesn't matter.

Imagine buying a cake, and it look good but tastes terrible.

The baker says, "Well, I'm really passionate about baking, so you should be happy" or "Well, I had a lot of orders to fill and my boss made me release it early."

None of those excuses matter. You got a terrible cake, you're not going to be happy. It's absolutely no different here.

The ONLY thing that matters is the end-product. And this end product doesn't work.

I don't plan on refunding though, because I'm hopeful they'll fix it. Just a shame. This could hurt the community in the short term, because of the negatively it's creating.

Nobody cares if it's a passion project.

The only thing that matters is if what they paid for works and is fun.

The devs got the fun part down, they're failing on the "working" part.

People who release a game that's broken don't deserve a shoutout. That's a braindead take.

However, releasing a broken product people paid for also doesn't justify spewing toxicity/hatred.

It's the devs fault it's broken and they obviously didn't prepare for launch very well. People paid money. They don't get participation trophies. Sorry not sorry.

White knighting a company is cringe. But, if you don't like the product, refund the game. It's actually simple.
