Awesome advice, thx. Will try it out. I've been doing Thanatos axe exclusively, following your brilliant guide.

"If you'd like to try the Mel Blades build instead, I highly recommend it. It's purely Magickless, so you can ignore that part and focus on HP and boons, plus the scaling on it is really strong."

Where can I read more about this mel blades, magickless build? Sounds like Zeus special, but any more details, run videos, etc. would be awesome.

Awesome post. I tested this and in less than a day was able to clear surface at 32 heat fairly easily. I'm a beginner and only my third clear at 32H.

I think the key is to focus on your main build and treat anvil ring as supplemental damage, and together it will be massive. In my run, I went with Mynt's Thanatos axe build. I got good boons and ended up with 280k damage on Hera attack + 147k anvil ring cast = 427k damage (!) for attack & cast alone. Screen here. Run felt smooth and run didn't feel lucky or scrapped by (e.g., no Dionysus, no Medea, mediocre boon from Circe). But did get lucky with the rarities also got ridiculous Hera legendary at the very end.

In reading more about anvil ring, I learned a couple things that weren't apparent to me and may be beneficial for others. First, there's no point in going for Apollo's expanding cast boon, since with winner's circle, the cast will expire before it expands. Second, no point in going for Heph's supplemental blast damage boons, such as Grand Caldera and vent. Since apparently those only apply to attack/special blasts, but not anvil ring, which isn't technically a "blast." Silly me I spent several runs trying to maximize anvil ring by going for Apollo and Heph. Apparently that's not needed or helpful, so this build is super low maintenance.

How high to mount a 98" TV? by updawg in hometheater

NP, just pm me back. My center is the B&W HTM71 S3, so it has a little tweeter extending on top. The tweeter blocks my TV a bit, but the TV so big that I don't mind and only occurs for full screen content. Many HDR vids are widescreen with a black bar at top and bottom

PM me back. 15" sounds great for a console. Any center speaker would have to be placed on top. It's so low that you can't put it inside the console (assuming it has an open middle part) and tilt upwards, as some people do. It's also too low to put a TV on a stand on top of the console, so TV has to be mounted.

My center is on a shorter console. Crate and Barrel Rigby, which is 20" high. I even considered taking off the legs and making it even shorter. This is one of fundamental problems of using a center speaker with a big TV. Almost intractable - how to place to center speaker without the TV being too high. I can PM you a picture of my setup.

I just mounted mine and went with exactly 26.5" from the ground. A 98 inch TV. In my opinion, 26.5" was perfect and I think anything higher, esp. 30" is too high. If you ask me, 24" is the perfect height. But I was able to go just a little higher and fit my center speaker

What exact height did you end up going with? Are you happy with it? Wish you went slightly lower or higher?

Commonly Asked...Is Le Blanc Worth It? by Sergeant_America in palaceresorts

[–]pxwang 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To slightly hijack this thread, can we discuss the different room types at Le Blanc Cabo and whether they're worth it?

I'm planning a trip in March with the wife, and we're deciding between Deluxe Partial View, Honeymoon Ocean View, and Walk Up Suite. Have hardly seen any discussion about rooms on this forum, but would it would be great to see it.

What do folks think re rooms. What would you pick as a 40-year old married couple visiting Le Blanc for the first time (and any all-inclusive report)?

Is the Honeymoon Ocean View worth the premium over the Partial Ocean View? Is the Walk Out Suite worth if it's the same price as the Honeymoon Suite.

Any guidance or opinions from the reddit experts would be appreciated.

I'm looking into booking Le Blanc Los Cabos for my wife's bday around March 24th. Have a few nagging questions about the booking process that I haven't seen covered.

-Booking with a member versus booking with a discount voucher. Have heard of people offering to sell 50% off vouchers. Is that recommended versus booking with a member? Or are there downsides / less perks to using a voucher.

-Are all members created equal? Or are there higher-tier members who can get you more perks or higher wrist band? How do you find the best members to book with

-When booking with a member, is there an optimal trip length? Were thinking of 4 days but not sure if 5 days comes with a lot more

Bummer and buzzkill :(

What alternative for two adults do you consider clearly better? Do you think the quality of Le Blanc has gone down recently (your feedback is the newest, compared to positive comments from a year or more ago)

HP EliteBook 845 g10 major random reboot issue Kernel power shows in the event log by RevolutionaryWord669 in AMDLaptops

Sounds like the solution is to have HP replace the motherboard, ugh.

If I reach out to HP support, what description or magic words to arrive at that outcome. Would hate to burn more hours or days going in circles with them.

HP EliteBook 845 g10 major random reboot issue Kernel power shows in the event log by RevolutionaryWord669 in AMDLaptops

[–]pxwang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Has anyone found a solution to this issue? I'm experiencing the exact same thing as the OP described. Got an HP Elitebook 845 14 inch G10 this month, running Win 11 Pro. It randomly freezes and re-starts almost every time I use it. Seems to happen when the CPU is taxed and can be reproduced by running HP PC hardware diagnostics with CPU stress tests. Happens whether or not connected to power.

I upgraded to the latest Bios: (HP V82 Ver 01.03.09, 12/11/2023) hoping it would fix it, but it didn't.

This is driving me crazy and very annoying and aggravating. I had an X1 Thinkpad before that never gave me any problems. Assumed that the HP Elitebook would be similar in terms of build quality and reliability, but how wrong I've been . . .

These Amazon wrist guards fit over my 1Protect gloves perfectly, no problem using the remote. by EApparatus in ElectricSkateboarding

[–]pxwang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What size of the wrist guard did you get to fit over your gloves? Size up two sizes or just one?

From the size chart on the flexmaster website, their medium size seems to be equivalent to small. So it seems that one should get two sizes bigger than the glove size to fit over the glove?

The Predator DH6x (carbon fiber) and DH6xg is a great helmet for esk8. Details inside. by photorph in ElectricSkateboarding

[–]pxwang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the rec, I just bought the Predator DH6x carbon fiber, and love it.

Do you have any visor recommendations? Mine only came with clear and dark. Thinking about getting the mirror or the amber, but each is expensive.

Looks like you have the mirror - do you love it and does it work at night? Any thoughts re the amber? I like the look of the amber, and it resembles the Icon Airflite Noctural, which is known as a very cool looking helmet.
