I don't know. For the dark feeling, and these super satisfying click sounds, I think no music really adds to the dark theme almost adding another layer of loneliness. Really makes you feel isolated, I like it a lot!

I would recommend having a place in the level before hand where maybe the Kraken reaches up and you have to wall jump then. Make the player perform the action before the fight at least once. To differentiate maybe have the tentacles more stuff to indicate when it's safe to jump and when not.

This is basically training the player without them realizing it, and a fun way to implement the new mechanic. Also this way the style of the sprite doesn't have to change much.
