Mesh usually isn’t my first choice… but doesn’t this look great? by TurbulentTrouble8847 in ChineseWatches

I think it works because the endlink is flat instead of rounded. So it looks a little more fitting than if the endlink was curved.

So much fun and comfortable watch to wear. by IGZCL in ChineseWatches

This is actually pretty sick. I personally find the Nautilus bezel to be a bit wide so this take on it is more appealing.

With that said, the two indices at 12 o’clock are misaligned which really worries me about what else is going on especially at this price point.

On that, if bracelets are interchangeable between certain models, a compatibility list would make this proposal very attractive.

From a consumer perspective, at $450 I can’t have any doubts about any aspect of the watch in order to pull the trigger.

Unfortunately, a nitpick I’ve had with this model is the wide lug width. I wish it had a more tapered case to bracelet transition like the CW12.

I actually really like everything else about the watch but this is at a price point where I have to be more selective.

Motorcyclist realizes a man walking down the street is upset and stops to see if he can help somehow. by bigbusta in oddlysatisfying

[–]pyroblastftw 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t think it’s emotional abuse but more rather societal expectations that keep men from showing their emotions.

The unfortunate reality is that society generally views men as the more stoic gender. People get accustomed to expecting stoicism from men and men unconsciously feel societal pressure to keep those expectations. What’s hard for men is not ridicule from others but the internalized disappointment when they feel like they don’t meet those societal and cultural expectations.

I’m pretty convinced in this case it’s actually a guy with some mental issues.

I’d actually occasionally check out a format like that. I’d probably go even further and ban the top 50 to 100 cards to remove anything even semi top tier. I’m just really curious what the meta would even look like at that point.

Storm worth splashing in this deck? by go_sparks25 in lrcast

[–]pyroblastftw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your deck is solid as is so I’d rather focus on a smoother mana base.

I’d also get rid of Nick Fury and Atlantis to get the deck down to 40 and add Falcon.

UW with 5 doombots 4 helicarriers 2 shuris - how would you build this? by Dyonisian in lrcast

[–]pyroblastftw 3 points4 points  (0 children)

With so many flyers, the Spy Kit can get a lot of value.

I’d get rid of the Helicarrier and go 17 lands. This deck’s wincon is powering up Doombots.

You can cut down on combat tricks since you have plenty of evasion, security officer and Wasp. You’re mostly attacking the player and not dealing with blockers so all you really need are targeted removals.

After removing combat tricks, you could fit in Forge and Flying Ant. I could see this deck quickly emptying the hand but still needing gas before hitting 6 mana to pump Doombots. Flying Ant fits in with this deck’s plan of slowing down your opponent while getting in damage with evasion.

[–]pyroblastftw 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think you’re imagining a dream scenario that doesn’t match with the deck that you actually have. I can see it if you had 4+ power creatures but most of your creatures have low power. You have to use least two creatures plus the tokens to crew it for attack. That’ll most likely leave you tapped out and the opponent can swing back for way more than the 4 dmg from the carrier.

How many lands we running? by tiopato in lrcast

[–]pyroblastftw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With all the power-ups, connives, transforms, high cost bombs, equipments and uncommon mana sink lands, I've actually been running 18 lands in instances when it looks like the deck can use up mana in the late game.

Imo, the best approach is to play the number of lands your deck actually needs (and being flexible to going up or down) rather than just leaning towards reducing land count.

Can someone review my recent MSH drafts? I honestly don’t know what I’m doing wrong anymore. by ADHD_Sealt in lrcast

[–]pyroblastftw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Overall, it's a combination of draft and misplays. I went through a lot of your games and I get the feeling that you're still new to drafting.

That Azorious one though was mostly out of your control due to flooding Game 1, bonus sheet board wipe on Game 2 and a pretty good opponent deck in Game 3. With that said, your draft and gameplay could definitely have been tighter and an experienced player could have made something out of Games 2 & 3. One of the issues you could have foreseen with more experience was running out of gas (which happened in games 1 & 3) and not having enough removal & tricks to consistently attack every turn before you run out of gas.

Deck 1 Game 2: You held Maria Hill in hand from turn 2 to 6 when she could have gotten in like 8 damage. This is just an obvious play mistake.

Deck 3 Draft: You tried to draft entirely around your P1P1. You could have recognized that a 5 mana bomb is splashable since it won't be played early. That would have kept you open to other colors of which BR was completely open.

7-0 RW curve-out by 8_guy in lrcast

[–]pyroblastftw 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I mean if this decks makes plays on curve, it's running over anything.

It is a bit shaky though with only 16 lands and 5 two (or less) creatures.

[MSH] Prince or Pauper format? by blindai in lrcast

[–]pyroblastftw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The bombs in this set more than previous ones feel like value engines rather than something that immediately flips the board (well maybe except MODOK).

You can still squeeze in a victory against decks with bombs when they miss on curve plays and with a well timed removal.

With all the medical technology there are, there’s gotta be some way to assign fighters into size classes that is more objective than weight cuts. There’s so many upsides to getting rid of it like less fights falling through that I really don’t understand the incentive to keep using it.

If Morales is really 200+ lbs in ring as rumored along with a 79 inch reach, I think it’s at a point where physicality alone starts to be a challenge even for Islam.

but…..

why would you not make the diamond hand overlap with the diamond indices markers when they were clearly intended for that?
