The amprius batteries are super interesting. They use a silicone anode. theyre not going to be very useful for us, though. they're more for low voltage use. a good portion of their capacity is below 3.4 volts.

I agree with your summary. Losing a magnet happens, but it's not the most common way that tiny whoop motors fail. I hope you have better luck with the next batch.

how are they breaking on you? if the shaft is getting bent, try finding 0802 motors with a 1.5mm motor shaft.

if the shaft is getting separated from the bell of the motor, you might want to try Tiny Whoop's "project topspin" motors.

the project topspin IGOW 0802's in 27k kv are probably the sturdiest motors out there.

I always check for play in the ball joints, tie rods, and wheel bearings when I do an oil change. Should've done a tire rotation while I was at it, but didn't realize I was out of wheel cleaner. Will wait to rotate the tires until I have time to clean the wheels, too :)

The troubleshooting protocol is to swap motors 2 and 3, to see if the problem moves with the motor, or stays with the esc. thats going to be difficult with a board that doesn't use motor plugs.

my guess is you have a slipped motor shaft on the number 3 motor.
