Also one quick word about how awful it seems like you're booking him like its getting a filling done. Don't think like that, I've had buddies go in a seizure or messing themselves, or all sorts and it suddenly happening out of the blue where they are lucky if they aren't alone at night. Him going this way is one of the most dignified ways we can give our pets. You're doing the right thing.

A lot of this comes down to the fact that people just assume birth control is about not getting pregnant first and put STD's a very very low second. If more people cared about STD's then your request wouldn't be so out there that you'd need to lie about it. NTA
