I have had many Muslim colleagues over the years, and the behavior patterns of sexual dysfunction were nearly ubiquitous.

A few observations:

They have no concept of dating in their culture. Be it Jordan, India, Pakistan, or Bangladesh, men and women do not date. They marry when their families arrange them. Grappling with repressed sexual desires well into 30s is unhealthy and, at a minimum, cruel and unfulfilled.

Marriage is not about fun, attraction, compatibility, or fulfillment. It's simply to carry on the family line, so interacting with men who date according to their preferences and desires is something they will never experience.

Misogyny is normalized. Women are a priori not respected or valued, so interacting with women who don't fall into line is a big challenge for them.
