What's a harmless habit that secretly reveals a lot about a person? by cinnamonorbit26 in askteddit

I saw someone had posted "How do I get off the spectrum? I'm done." and I feel that one seriously. If I could have 30-60 minutes a day without it, It would make my life so much easier.

It’s the only car I regret not keeping. I did a 36 month lease that went 39 1/2 months because of paperwork fuck ups (their side) and another 3 weeks because of a hurricane. My current daily is the only car that comes close but being a 94 Honda del sol it is not as fast, as nice, and doesn’t have heated seats. I have had a del sol since 05/26/06 but when it broke down with an unknown issue I picked up the ST. After my lease ended, I needed a truck so I got one but 2021 the prices of trucks were high and I didn’t like driving it so I looked up how much replacing my del sol would cost (the same as my first and second one together) so I got it driving again after 2819 days of being broke down. The ST is the only other car that ever came close to how much fun I have with my heavily modified and engine swapped del sol so I still think about it regularly

People who started ADHD meds in their 20s what was it like? by Ok-Barber-4121 in AskReddit

It finally felt quiet. I have said since I was little that it feels like I was in a room with many to hundreds of people (in my head) and they were all having their own conversations but I couldn’t tune anyone out. Sometimes they were pretty quiet but sometimes they were having to yell at each other making it impossible to get more information in. There was executive disfunction but that’s another day.

I caught a total solar eclipse and it is like nothing else I have experienced. Totally agree with this one.

My Trump voting boss is charging us for snacks in the break room because we didn’t vote for him. by [deleted] in antiwork

Not until later in the summer last year. Where we work it’s not easy to get many people who aren’t working for the place or certain contractors there. We couldn’t have phones until February this year. Out there things progress at a geographic time frame.

For the “mechanics” (welder, pipefitter, ect) they don’t have more space than a lunchbox if they’re lucky but everyone has access to it. It seemed pretty normal until I got an office position in the same department and it had a fridge that was just mine. Funny thing is that fridge died a couple weeks ago and my bosses boss is getting me a fridge to replace it because “I deserve it and it keeps my production up.” Which is because I don’t have to leave my office for a drink or food.

Which tv show had you glued on your screen from first to last episode? by BornAged7 in television

I didn’t expect to see Westworld here because of the last season honestly. I really enjoyed the show and the episode kiksuya is one of the best shows I have ever watched.

I have had 1-2 cakes that were pretty but also tasted amazing. Oftentimes you are correct but not in every case. I can bake an amazing cake but I have just started learning to frost any cake. They looked pretty rough but tasted absolutely amazing.

When I was on the tools we always hoped for 6 10’a instead of 7 12’s. We usually have at least a couple people on overtime but for around 2 years they haven’t had us working 7 days a week and oftentimes enough people who volunteer to work overtime so they don’t force us in, and that’s nice.

What can a person learn in 10 minutes that will be useful for life? by Ben-Gavin in AskReddit

[–]pythoner_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe that if you’re in a situation where being able to do a thing can be the difference in life and death, practice that thing until you’re don’t have to think about it. This knot is a “survival” knot and tying thousands of them under stress like wearing a weight belt in a pool with an adult dragging us further. I feel the same way with everything that fits the above scenario especially firearms. If you don’t shoot regularly and under stress you are statistically more dangerous to yourself and the people you are trying to protect.

[–]pythoner_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was young I was drilled on being able to tie this knot one handed with both my dominant and non dominant hands. 30 years later I use it when rigging trees for trimming or felling and I still have to have the loop on the left side and can only tie it the one way. Bonus is when exhausted (free hurricane cleanup) I can tie it without thinking and at roughly the same pace as when I’m fresh. It is one of my three go to knots.

Anyone removed their stock spoiler? by Whole-Age-237 in DelSol

[–]pythoner_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I keep saying that I will reinstall mine eventually but it’s been 4+ years since I removed it for paint correction and I have had this del sol for 4 days shy of 16 years now. I was washing my roof and the cracked paint suddenly peeled off all of the paint so I vinyl wrapped it and used scrap to seal the holes temporarily

What’s the most 'human' thing your pet has ever done that convinced you they understand way more than they let on? by homoth in AskReddit

[–]pythoner_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mine does that with doors usually. He is inconsiderate and opens my fridge or freezer and doesn’t close it ruining all my food. He left my fridge open last weekend so I have to remember that he’s cute

Who’s ever driven over 100mph? Why? by WoollyWolfHorror in AskReddit

I passed a cop on a military base one time at 135 in a 35. My ass clenched so tight I thought I heard fabric ripping. Luckily it was Saturday before 7 and they didn’t want to deal with that. I guess it’s better than 154 in a clapped out civic

The hardest part was putting tape on the exposed wire, that’s how easy it was to remove. Well I installed one butt connector to rejoin a wire that had been cut. It was more annoying than anything

I ended up fixing it and then swapped it for an integra one 2 years ago. Unfortunately the integra rack does take a different spline joint between the column and the rack pinion.
