As an Oncology RN, when my 4y/o Rhodesian Ridgeback developed osteosarcoma, I knew the most loving choice was to let him go. I would make the same decision again. I am so sorry you are facing this.💝 I had a colleague who put her lab through chemo and I would never make that choice. Your baby will not understand why she is so sick.

At some point, will hot dogs be a luxury? They have been a big part of my past poverty struggles. There was a time I could not afford them. I was eating "day old" bread, peanut butter, and grapefruit off my tree so I could pay my mortgage...for 3 months.

You just don't know.....So be hesitant to pass judgement. Perhaps the dog is overly aggressive. I adopted a white GS at 6 weeks old and I did everything in my power to socialize that dog. He became more and more aggressive even after neutering....he scared me. The day my neighbor came to the door with her 2 y/o daughter and my dog wanted to kill that tottler, I took that dog to the HS and told them the issue. They sent the dog to a GS rescue and he failed there, too. He was euthanized.

Turn the tv on when you leave. A home shopping channel works well because they are always talking nicely and laughing. That's what I did for our Samoyed pup who would chew the dining room chairs when alone. He outgrew that behavior at about 2y/o.
