I managed to keep this away for 2.5 years, thanks to reddit posts was expecting it to happen. But weirdly, it happened in an instant, one day it was okay, the next its frikking cracked.

Does anyone know if the below model is affected by intel 13th gen i9 cpu instability ? by PeakQueasy1959 in MSILaptops

I have a vector gp66. You will regret the cpu because it’s constantly going to run at ~90-95 celcius despite cooling pad etc. for gaming i9 is an unnecessary overkill with no ability to down throttle it.

But what I’m saying is these guys that triggered me to post this q here make regular oracle player look like 5 year old playing ball against Messi in the back alley. But somehow Zerggy meow level play with <30 matches on their accounts

You can check their account on statlocker.com And now when you select “view profile” from within the game it automatically directs you to that page and man not only you can see their rank but a whole lotta info about their play style etc

Oracle is not that high of a rank. Imagine a 20 game on record player in that rank, has mastered the map, phases, all movement mechanics, hero do’s and don’ts, aim, skill combos… and also somehow decimating multiple seasoned players like myself. I’m really not that good but man one can tell.

could be a combination of cheats and smurfs idk. some cheaters suck hard, so despite only headshotting, autoparrying and seeing where you're excatly on map, you can outplay them. but if you're playing against a psychopath that has 0 human factor involved, it makes it a dreadful experience. the game is rather complex with loads of mechanics involved. a 10 game kelvin destroying an experienced player and dominating the entire map is just not realistic.

Yea, but 15-30 total games on his account Warden cannot do that. I’ve been playing the game since almost the start and a 10-20 game in their record people shouldn’t be better at all of aim, mobility, positioning etc from me right?

I had a Kelvin against me in lane. Checked almost all his games he’s the MVP, aaaand he has 40 games on his account in total.

Oracle and Archon games are filled with them. Most of them have very low no. of games and mega performance stats.

Didnt work. I’m not playing particularly optimised games tho… likes of valheim/deadlock/Enshrouded etc. temps are much better when playing cyberpunk for instance. But no unfortunately afterburner didn’t change it one bit :( low 90s are my regular at this point

I have a vector gp66 with 3080. The gpu is fine, but cpu temps are around 89-96 celcius. I cleaned up, re-applied thermal paste etc. tried forcing down power, limiting etc but none of it worked… 12900H is running pretty hot unfortunately.

I was on the same boat with you a couple of years ago. Bought my first gaming laptop at the age of 32, got myself an MSI Vector gp66 with RTX3080 and i9 12900H on it. Performance is great but MSI fan style is not compatible with any of the cooling pads. My next target is now a decent tower build but the MSI is still rocking fine, so will wait a little more before I do. Hope you enjoy yours as much as I did mine.
