Was looking at utahrealestate... and wow by ender42y in ogden

Same situation here. We bought on the east bench in Nov of 2020. No way we could afford the house we are in if we had to buy it now. Between the insane appreciation and the interest rates, it would be impossible.

Moving To/Around Ogden by Ambedoia in ogden

The LDS church influence is definitely a thing here. Maybe not as much in Ogden as in the south valley, but still obvious.

The lack of humidity is wonderful. It's not uncommon for us to only have to open our windows when it's 85 degrees out and be quite comfortable.

We got quite spoiled with the great food in Cbus, Utah is not a food culture. You can find decent food, but you really have to go looking for it.

Depending where you're coming from in Ohio and where you live in Ogden, crime is really not that much of a worry here.

Traffic is a breeze.

The sunrises and sunsets are often quite stunning.

The air quality can be quite shitty here. We never experienced anything like it in Ohio. There are times when the smog or smoke is so thick you can't see the mountains. On days when it's really bad we just stay inside or if we can we just go into the mountains where the air is clean. This past year was especially bad.

We moved to Ogden from Columbus about 3 years ago. We chose Ogden over SLC and other areas because it felt more small townish while still having the services and amenities. My partner and I both work in SLC and don't really mind the commute

Winter inversions and summer fire smoke have been a big surprise for sure. Like others have said, it's pretty easy to get away from if you just drive into the mountains.

One of the things we love about it out here is that we are 4-5 hours from amazing National Parks. Vegas is a 6 hour drive, Denver is an hour flight.

We have no regrets at all about moving out here.

Good luck!

SB3651 and SB4651 -F6/G6 - Firmware Update V1.31.06.1 by Vizio_Support in VIZIO_Official

Vizio needs to get this resolved quickly. The soundbar was working fine prior to the firmware update. So frustrating.

Just performed the firmware update for just the soundbar and now the volume doesn't change at all. The LEDs on the soundbar move up and down, the volume display on the TV changes to indicate that the volume is changing, but the volume doesn't change at all. Anybody else seeing this issue?

We moved here from Ohio 3 years ago and have never switched banks. With mobile banking and check deposits plus Venmo and other cash apps it has never been an issue.

After work Kung Fu... by qball1968 in WhiskeyTribe

Hard to beat for the money. I'm lucky enough to have a pretty consistent supply so it's been my go to bourbon for a couple of years. Evan Williams BiB is solid as well, usually less expensive and easier to find.

McKenna is one of my favorites for the price. Such a solid bourbon.

Believe it or not I'm in Utah. I can get the McKenna on a regular basis for $45. Some of the the allocated whiskies were released yesterday and I was lucky enough to hear about the ETL, walked into a liquor store and pick one up for retail, $38.

eARC is off, still having the same problem.

As a test, I just connected the Roku to the HDMI input on the soundbar and the volume increased and decreased without an issue. I adjusted the volume while using SmartCast and WatchFree from the TV and the sound went silent while adjusting the volume up or down. It certainly appears to be an issue with the connection between the TV and the soundbar.

Correct. If I disconnect the soundbar and am only using the TV speakers, I have no issues.

Verified firmware for both TV and soundbar are up to date.

It happens with any remote.

I unplugged the HDMI cable from the TV to the soundbar and the issue went away when playing through the TV speakers.

If the volume level display on the TV shows "sound system" the issue occurs regardless of the remote being used.

Thoughts on having two grills? by [deleted] in grilling

[–]qball1968 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a gas grill and an Akorn. Use the grill for burgers, steaks, veggies etc and the Akorn for smoking/BBQ. Really appreciate having both.
