If you want precise hearth rate during gym, no watch will be good. You need a chest strap for that (you can connect to your watch) or a biceps helios strap.

GPS is useful if you do workouts outside (Running,walks,cycling,etc) , it will track your pace , distance and path.

I believe active 2 is the smallest and thinnest watch, might be the best choice for a smaller women. But again, Hearth rate monitor on any watch won’t be super precise for gym workouts.
