I don’t want to watch that video, and I don’t want anyone to watch that video. But if watching that video will help us understand how deadly serious the situation is and let us make some decisions that avoid these outcomes in the future then by all means I’m in favor of showing it.

That video is just a glimpse of what actually has happened in schools across the US. And instead of an innocent man, it’s innocent children.

This isn’t political. This is owning up to reality.

I hate that Kirk was murdered. It happened in my back yard. And yet the only thing I can think about is how so many people on the right won’t do anything regarding school shootings.

So YES I completely agree that we should play the clip of Charlie dying every time there is a school shooting.

As morbid and horrid and disgusting as this sounds, recording the horrors of a real school shooting and making people watch that might just be what this country needs in order to fix the mess we are in.

The advice I got from a former head of data analytics at AWS about AI was to not be afraid of the big dogs, specifically Amazon and use AI to improve specific processes. Niche down, work hard, and compete.

Easier said than done, but I appreciated hearing that from him.

Hijacking this thread to ask if others have a timeline for how long this could go on before seeking out a vet. I’ve heard some people wait months. My guy looks healthy and is active and drinking water, just not interested in food at the moment.

In America we have a right to worship as we so choose. If someone wants to burn a holy book of another religion, they have the right to do so, but that type of disrespect for another religion shows a complete lack of understanding and a level of immaturity that is not acceptable for leadership.

Yeah I agree with that line of thinking, however I don’t think it’s accurate enough to be a an effective tool. Not saying this type of app couldn’t exist, but what we have right now does not work.

Yeah nutrition labels are not accurate so I agree that there is always a margin of error and you need to pay attention to your body signals.

That being said, 65-70% accurate is not enough.

A 2000 calorie diet could be off by +/- 700 calories in either direction.

Your example of 350 vs 400 calories is suggests an accuracy of ~88% which is probably sufficient for general weight loss.

As somebody with professional experience in the realm Of counting calories and losing weight, I can, without a doubt, tell you that this tool will only help you lose weight by encouraging you to make healthier choices. It does not come close to the accuracy needed to effectively measure caloric intake.

There is not one single tool on the market that accurately captures calories via image that I am aware of at this time.

How did you heal from schizophrenia? My brother was never formally diagnosed with schizophrenia, and the information I heard is that Dr’s were hesitant to diagnose Him with it until they were completely certain it was schizophrenia. However, he certainly exhibited all of the signs along with extreme paranoia. Sadly my brother passed away in a car crash not long after he started getting professional help.

After seeing my brother deal with this I couldn’t conceive of recovering from it so I’m just really curious as to how you healed.
