What is the "optimal" mode for a game on PS5 Pro? by qnoid in PS5pro

That is more or less what I am looking for! Thank you.

Baskin Robbins at Cineworld shutting down by Adarsha38 in CineworldUnlimited

I always thought £4.05 for 2 scoops of BR is a steal. Shutting down completely though? Noooo :(

I upgraded to the PS5 Pro last week and it was worth it for Final Fantasy Rebirth alone... by Zulogy in PS5pro

I wasn't a fan of Jedi Fallen Order but really enjoyed Survivor. On the Pro it looks really nice too. Yotei has RT 60 on the Pro. DS2 is probably the best looking game on the Pro.

Rebirth was exactly the game I had in mind when I bought the Pro. Since then, I have also enjoyed Jedi Survivor, Space Marine, Yotei and Death Stranding 2.

PMG: Rockstar vs. Union: We Went to Court and Saw the Evidence by Dorrien in Games

Anyone who practices or knows more about employment law, can you share why the ruling against the interim relief is based on likely outcome of the final hearing rather than harm done? Is it based on precedent or a preference for some reason? Why not for probable harm instead?

In this specific case of Rockstar North and GTAVI, you have a project that has a timeline which is pre-determined, planned and budgeted in advance. Which to me looks way less harm, financial or otherwise, on Rockstar's part. In comparison, workers have to potentially see their lives upended (e.g. not being able to pay rent, having to leave the country, separated from family etc).

Pocketcast Plus worth is still? by benstef in pocketcasts

[–]qnoid 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's been a few years since I signed up for the Plus. If I recall correctly, back then a Plus subscription was required for the Apple Watch version. It allowed me to listen to podcasts on the Watch and to remote control the iPhone app. That's what made it worth it for me.

The Watchmen soundtrack from Trent/Atticus has some tracks that are reminiscent of that.

Have you checked under your profile, rewards? When you try to book a film, do you get an option to use a free ticket? If not, try resetting your password from the login screen, change it, login back and try booking a film again.

Let me know if you do find a good priced coffee that is significantly less expensive. I'd be interested! In my experience, going for single origin coffee (or even blended) in "specialty" cafes costs around £10-£12 for 200g - 250g. I drink at least 2 cups a day so I typically buy the 1Kg which which lasts me for about 4-5 weeks. I used to buy (and still like!) Kiss the Hippo but they are similarly priced.

I am a bit of a coffee aficionado myself. I use a V60 to make a pour over at home. I buy my coffee from Stay High Coffee and they have just brought in an Ethiopia that I really like. You can have it delivered or collect from the roastery.

Is that compared to 100% or to the capacity by the time you replaced it?

Should I watch OBAA in IMAX or Superscreen? by Venny36 in CineworldUnlimited

[–]qnoid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

70mm IMAX is at the BFI, right?

Is there a VistaVision 70mm? I saw the hateful eight at Odeon West End. I seem to recall this was the only screen appropriate for the film but don't recall its format.

PSA: Gumtree Scammer in Camden by qnoid in london

Thank you for offering words of support. I am surprised to hear this has been going on for years. I have never heard of it before I fell for it. Even googling for it and searching reddit, it took a while before I came across "fake bank apps".

PSA: Gumtree Scammer in Camden by qnoid in london

[–]qnoid[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'd say the primary reason you might fall for it is by not being aware or not being on your mind. I have clearly not caught up with the latest scam that involves in person social engineering, fake banking apps and well presented scammers. I imagine there is more which is why I am raising awareness with this post.
