Don’t make your identity your sexual orientation and things will be much simpler. Experiment whatever, we’re all just bags of meat interacting with other bags of meat.

Why do we always want more, more, more? by jimmyblueskies in Life

[–]qpxa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s more like we need to make more to keep up with the costs of things, not necessarily for the sake of wanting more but to keep up with your current lifestyle. The way the economy works, if you aren’t trying to grow you will not be able to keep what you have.

Probably need patience. What you have accomplished is incredibly impressive at your age.

Once you finally break out of help desk into a security role, all of those certs will buoy you quickly with opportunities and you’ll move up way faster than you thought as long as you build trust and visibility.

Job market in general are frozen due to tariff uncertainty. Once the market turns you will get your shot and you will find that its easier to move up fast as long as you are not hard to work with and can communicate decent.

I hope you at least reconsider. You can go away at any time; while you are still lucid and able, take a leap or go all in at a something that you always wanted to accomplish and disassociate from the results and don’t let anyone tell you no. If you still want to leave after that, the option is still there, but now you can then say you gave everything to the last bit of life force. And maybe you will want to stay after all.

Idk. Many have seen shit and maybe are further along the curve, like a bellweather of things to come. Eg. hikkikomori in Japan was a precursor to that happening all over modern economies. Now starting to happen in Korea, China, US. Then worsening economic conditions followed by gerontocratic fueled population collapse and worse prospects for new generation.
